The Big Red Cat is a very comfortable vehicle ferry. You can also go without a car (though there are quicker passenger ferries available).
There is a cafe upstairs and plenty of windows to look out from. There is also an open viewing platform on the very top.

Better than the Straddie Ferries barge (now owned by the same company) and they used to have an excellent special on Sunday mornings which I wish they'd BRING BACK!

We love Straddie but can never afford to go anymore since the prices have raised to a WHOPPING $140 return for a vehicle... Just way too expensive for a small family.

There is a bus option but that's difficult with a baby so we will have to try that in a few years... til then no Straddie :(
