Bendigo corner store is a great cafe. I love the backyard and the little private room off to the side. The coffee is great and the food is consistently good too. I love the breakfasts and they have an excellent kids breakfast menu too. The only issue I have is that the staff are not as warm and inviting as many other places. They can be a little grumpy. Overall a great cafe and one I return to again and again.
Approximate cost: $15
The corner store cafe is personaly one of my favourite places to go, they we try and get there at least once a week for brunch, they have improved their service a lot in the last few months one being offering full table service now which they never use to.
The food is great and at a reasonable price, I highly recommended trying the eggs Benedict or even the eggs Florentine. Hot chocolates are good and so is the coffee
A good place to go if you have a family as they have a sand our and chalk board for the kids to use they also offer a colouring in page and pencils.
I have never had a bad experience there and will continue to go back.

The Bendigo Corner Store Cafe, as the name suggests, is located on a quiet street corner, away from the busy View Street hub, and there is plenty of off-street parking available.
The cafe is quite spacious, with tables generously spaced out.
Coffee was well-made, and the coffee art was actually well done on top of the latte, which was a plus. But the milkshake was a bit watery and lacked flavour - I would not recommend it.
The cafe itself was fairly hot; granted, we were there on a warm spring day, but it seemed quite stuffy, not very well ventilated.
Service was not very impressive either. The waitress who served us looked tired and impatient, not even giving us a single smile from the moment we walked in, to when we left. Maybe it's because this is a fairly big cafe and she might have had a busy morning, but still, it was disappointing, given its reputation.
It is a fairly pleasant cafe to sit in though if you want a break, to get away from it all.
Went with a group for Sunday lunch. Ordered the chicken burger which was disappointing and overpriced. Its a cute cafe but the meals seem overpriced and its a let down that they dont have any table service.
We are frequent visitors here. It is very child friendly with a sandpit and a chalk board to keep kids amused outside. Food is always of good quality, and the cakes on offer are varied, but it is the traditional chai that keeps me going back.
Approximate cost: $18
The Chai is something that would keep me going back too.. Will make sure I try them out soon.
This is a good little cafe for weekend brunches. It doesn't look much from the outside but inside is a warm and inviting atmosphere. They offer a variety of standard cafe meals made from fresh, organic foods that are were well presented. Their lunch menu and specials looked like they would be yummy!
There were a few gluten free cakes/slices to choose from and the children's menu was impressive.
The staff were friendly but seemed to be busy and rushed. Service was a little slow, fortunately we didn't mind waiting.
While there was a nice looking outdoor eating area it was a bit chilly when I went so we ate inside.
Approximate cost: $9
We came here for a brunch - there were 8 of us, and we booked a table, which was reserved for us, the cafe is really cute and modern, great decor, but unfortunately, as the business is quite young (well, I hope this is the reason) this was quite a painful experience. They didn't offer table service, and we waited in line for about 15 minutes to order our meals and coffees - and then the person who ordered last, his meal came first! Twice, another table's meals ended up on our table, and our coffees came AFTER our breakfast had arrived. It was unorganised and chaotic.
HOWEVER, the coffee and food was delicious, the owner clearly knows what he is doing, but is evidently having some significant teething problems, mainly it seems, inexperienced staff. Hopefully they will be quick to learn, and work out table service is much more efficient.
I'll have to make a trip to Bendigo in a few months to check it out again - if they keep up the high standard of food and coffee, and can get their staff up to speed, they should become a lovely place to go - I'd love to be able to give them 5 stars!
Approximate cost: $8.5-13
Have been there a few times over the past year and things have improved on the organisational side. Food and coffee still great too! Worth a visit when you're in Bendigo. Table service would be better, but most cafes don't offer that.
