Barry Plant Reservoir made a pleasant sales transaction most unpleasant with zero after sales service. We sold our unit through them, the communication leading up to auction date was satisfactory however once the sale was done and they'd taken their commission from the purchaser's deposit they left us high and dry. They had overcharged us on their commission and also tacked on a non-disclosed admin fee. We chased them for over 3 weeks for an explanation but got nothing but excuses....or silence. We had to go through Consumer Affairs to get our money back. Disgraceful customer service! They've made a mint in real estate (kudos to them) [redacted inflammatory comment] They've made their money from us but they've lost us as a customer and we'll be spreading the word about the way they do business [redacted inflammatory comment]

The worst agent i have ever dealt with.
Ignored my requests for maintenance until i mentioned consumer affairs.they
tried to keep my rent money after property management changed to another agent and no courtesy letter sent to inform of changes.
new agent had to approach them to get my money back as they didn t send it to owner as they no longer managed property and had the gall to tell me they no longer had access to the account i paid rent into even though it was their own account. This was false and i don t know how these people think they can get away with this behaviour. An absolute disgrace and sorry excuse for a real estate agent.

I have to agree with the above review. I've been dealing with an agent at Barry Plant Reservoir to lease out my property, and getting information has been like pulling teeth.

I rang them last week to follow up regarding an inspection for the following weekend, only to be told that the house has been leased and someone has moved in! To date, I have had no information about receiving my rental payment or seen a copy of a contract or statement, but I already have someone living in my house.

When I questioned the agent about it, she claimed she rang me mid-week and spoke to me about it. Strange, as I don't recall this conversation and my mobile records don't reflect a call from her. She also claimed to have sent me a copy of the contract in the mail, also strange, considering she does not have my new address, unless she's sent it to the house that she just leased out!

Frustrating!

Harry Kontossis is director and it does not surprise me that his office is inefficient and unprofessional having dealt with him directly. On a number of occasions I have found Harry and his staff to lose important documentation or take a long time to respond to calls. I have also found a number of errors in statements sent to me for a property I have leased out to a tenant. When making simple enquiry's I have been treated quite badly by both Harry and his staff and am now looking for a new property manager. I do not reccomend this business due to its lack of professionalism.
