Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest I can rate this place. They adopted out 5 extremely sick kittens who had cat flu, went back for treatment and they tried charging for something they shouldn't even adopt a cat out for. wouldn't medicate for cat flu and tried passing the blame onto me even though we have no other animals. yet another vet did and now she's doing great. the 2 kittens I viewed were extremely anorexic, 2 days later I come back about her desexing stitches and they try telling me I'm lying that she doesn't have cat flu, then in a VERY unprofessional manner tell me it's their friend who fostered them and they "looked healthy" and im wrong yet I have photos of the kitten while I was at the vet before I even adopted which looked sickly. how can you say the cat has cat flu and it's my fault then 2 days later say she doesn't have cat flu?
If you love your pets then don't take them here.
Melton vet said she would have died through the night if it weren't for me taking her to them and gave her on medication.

Unprofessional, will try and get money out of you where ever they can even when they are at fault, no regards for the animals health or safety.

I took my dog in on a Monday. He had had been tired and listless, he had runny nose and gunky eyes, most importantly he had lost a bit over 5 kilo in 10 days, that was nearly a quarter of his body weight. (He had been overweight and was on a diet) I took him in and expressed concern over this, I felt that that was a lot of weight for him to loose. I was told that he had a cold and I had been overdoing the diet. Blood tests were suggested, but not with any urgency and I was told if he continued to loose weight to bring him in. I left feeling confident. At no stage was I asked about his drinking or urination, and his gums were not checked (a very routine thing, I later realised that this is the first time that they hadn't been, they were later found to be paper white). He continued to get worse, by Friday was loosing his appetite and on Saturday was not drinking. We took him into the vet hospital at Werribee where they admitted him immediately. He has since been diagnosed with Pancreatitis, Ketotic Diabeties and severe, anemia. He was close to death when we brought him in, and is still extremely sick, still in ICU in hospital. A few simple questions and this could have been found earlier. Bacchus Marsh Vet Clinic hold a lot of the responsibility for his current condition.

spoken to a very smart assed vet nurse on the phone last week from this clinic ! And a week prior to this again to sign up and both times very rude and arrogant!I am from Qld and moved here two months ago, I asked alittle about the vets in regards for my old German Shepard, first time at a vet here and she spoke to me with such unprofessionalism that I'm surprised she is still here! I'm now having to travel to Ballarat vets! I foster dogs and have never had to deal with such attitude coming from vet nurses!

This is a fantastic vet clinic. Most of my animals have been treated here. They have vets that specialize in both small and large animals. They are very practical and explain all the options and costs. They also have a 24hr emergency service. My Mums cat had major surgery on his leg after being hit be a car and 2 years later (at the age of 17!) you wouldn't think he had pins holding his leg together for three months. I wish I had of taken my dog there earlier this year when he died of a suspected snake bite. I find the treatment costs at Bacchus Marsh are quite reasonable and I highly recommend them for any type of animal.

Had to take my cat on boxing day as he got bit by a snake. They had to keep him there for 4 days and we were allowed to visit him every day. Although it was expensive they let us may the account off.

Approximate cost: $800.00
