This is one of the most beautiful websites I have ever purchased from. It's glamorous, girly, sophisticated and it's obvious that the buyers are very particular about the quality of the products they choose to stock. I have a bag in Black Butterflies and I've studied the gorgeous Butterflies fabric closely and the Butterflies are supposed to be printed on a white cut out background. Chippie's fabric designer would have intended this. The previous comment about the 'cut out butterflies' are clearly from a philistine - someone who knows nothing about fabric printing or design. The product would have been wasted on this person.

I have nothing but praise for this beautiful webstore. I have been purchasing from Armchair Trader for over a year now. I buy all my girly presents and Christmas presents from this store. The gift wrapping is beautiful and the customer service is second to none. The owner will go out of her way to source a product and even give small gifts to show her appreciation for regular customers.

I purchased online but I have NEVER had a problem with online shopping as people ALWAYS take returns because you can't hold what you are buying in your hand. As long as YOU pay the postage people don't have a problem. This trader's returns policy was not on her website in easy view - I could not find it.

I purchased & paid, the goods arrived and it was absolute cheap tat.
I sent a very polite email advising that bag was unsuitable, asked what do I do now and was sent very short shrift that she does not accept returns unless faulty.

I've never experienced this on the 'net before, people always take goods that are in good state (and it is, the tags and protective plastic are not touched and I would have paid to have it posted back today) and it is NOT the way it was represented on the site.

On the site it looks smart. A pink background with soft old fashioned black outlined butterlies and flowersand printed on it, in actual fact the flowers & butterflies are printed on white and it looks like a child has cut them out and stuck them on the front. The bag is made of cheap vinyl and plastic ... and it is just cheap tat. To give you a good example of "plastic" ... Lulu Australia do great bags with a plastic cover ... I've got a number of them and they look great ... this is cheap knock off that looks cheap and cost just as much as a Lulu Australia. I realise I've been taken for a ride and I'm angry.

I felt her lack of customer service should be to be shared.

As far as I'm concerned she is mis-representing the goods and then refusing to take them back! I am so disappointed.

I was very polite in my dealings with Armchair Trader - I'm not an idiot, I don't get people's hackles up if I'm asking for a refund.

She was not prepared to give up the money which in my opinon is silly because if she had been nice about it I would have looked on her site for something else and would still be shopping there and giving her recommendations galore.

The crux of my negative rating is: I don't like being treated like a chump.

very disappointing to see such a vicious comment about a great business. you don't sound like a very pleasant customer to deal with. I have exchanged products with this business and had no problems. who respects anonymous slander anyway?

Fair enough - perhaps it does sound "vicious" but I was not rude to the lady from Arm Chair Trader, I was very polite and I was honest and she made it clear my customer was not important to her and I found THAT vicious. If you don't want to believe my rating that's your business. I'm interested that after I made a bad rating this business who had no rating before suddenly has two such happy customers, if you were truly so happy, I would expect you to post how great the business was before someone said how bad the felt it was. We are allowed to say we aren't happy with a business on here as far as I know, that's the point. If you like the business GREAT! I don't. I found the proprietor to be rude and lacking in customer service skills. We do live in a democracy and we are allowed to speak our minds. ... unless of course I'm stepping on the toes of friends and family or even perhaps the owner of the store? I've had my say, you've had your say. People will believe whoever they believe and if THEY receive the same sort of bad service as I did, THEY'LL come here and say so too.
