This is a lovely place, especially to take visitors to WA, lots f beautiful plants, greenery, flowers and big shady trees. Beautiful grasss areas to have your picnic which you can bring with you or they have a cafe. Cafe doesn't have much variety of food and really better to bring your own.
Lots of room to wander or run around in and not to long a drive.
Approximate cost: $10.00
You have to visit when the tulips are blooming in September. plan to spend a whole day, arrive early for the kids to run around before a lunch picnic by the stream. lots of different pockets of spaces in the park to appreciate different landscapes. there's a train/tram ride during the tulip season for those who want to enjoy the scenery without walking. Its very quite on other days, but its still a lovely place to get away and listen to the birds and enjoy the clean air.
I'd been meaning to visit for years but I stupidly visited before all the flowers had come out. However, the grounds are still picturesque (but very hilly and difficult with a pram) and it's very cheap to get in considering how well maintained everything is.
Approximate cost: $4
Definitely a top class botanic park. I've been there 2 times and both times I've come away with very fond memories of the park. If there is one word I can use to describe the park, it is quality/
A beautiful botanic garden with a large diversity of tulips to see and photograph. Many picnic spots and a few BBQ's in the park as well. A short drive from Perth and a wonderful day out
