Rudest, most unhelpful Aldi I’ve ever been. Will not be returning

I really like aldi, the only thing caloundra aldi has over this one is that caloundra has undercover parking, have to love aldi though, cheap prices, staff at the checkouts have always been nice to me here.

The new ALDI store at Maroochydore is a nightmare. I have shopped at other ALDI stores all over from Brisbane to Ipswich to Noosa. ALDI at Maroochydore have some serious problems. They rarely have stock of advertised catalogue items. Almost always sold out on the first morning of the sale. Their car park is difficult to navigate and does not have enough car parks. Considering, as with all ALDI stores, you have to pay for a trolley, therefore take it out to your car and return it to the trolley return and then walk across the car park AGAIN - there are no crossings! No safer places to walk with children in tow. No pedestrian paths. It is horrid.

The service is shocking. Yes, we all expect shoddy rushed service from ALDI but ALDI Maroochydore has perfected the art of poor customer service.

Let me relate the story of why my 3 year old begs not to shop at ALDI again.

We were in the checkout queue, a very long queue like usual, Miss 3 told me she needed the toilet. Ok, we'll have to wait a couple more minutes. A good 10 minutes later we reach the front of the checkout, I pay for our items and ask the cashier if there is a toilet my 3 year old can use. Well.... Guess so.... She fuffs around for a minute and eventually calls young teenage boy over and tells him to take us to the toilet. He grunts at her (and us) and heads off. He unlocks a door and stands inside it glaring at us. I bring the two children and the trolley, and ask if I can leave the trolley outside as its a bit of a squish to get through the doorway. He says no! Okay.... Drag the trolley inside, let my daughter into the toilet. The teenager stands there glaring! Obviously not going to give her any privacy! My daughter isn't too worried, but I certainly am not impressed. I try apologizing for interrupting what he was doing, he grunts again. Okay... My daughter comes out and says all done, thanks. I flush the toilet and return to the trolley and try to get it out. Teenager swears under his breath at me! Finally I get trolley through doorway (whilst holding baby in my arms) and turn to make sure my daughter has followed, teenager slams door on us and in doing so bashes the door into my daughter!! Both of us walked out of there upset and frustrated.

I've also been behind another shopper at the checkouts, a very heavily 9 month pregnant women with two young twin boys, who asked the checkout lady if she'd mind helping her put her groceries into bags as it was very difficult for her to get items out of the bottom of the trolley twice (it was, because of the huuuuge size if her tummy), and the girl very rudely said "no! Not our policy!" No apology or anything. Unbelievable!

I can't believe that with service like that ALDI are still in business, and despite having reasonable prices, I will not shop there again.

I certainly agree, I went there and had 3 items in my arms at the back of the queue and they open a new register where upon everyone runs to that one. I complained at the checkout to the lady (had Supervisor written on her tag) and she just shrugged and said 'thats the way we do it here' didn't care at all that I had a young child.
