After a friend at work recommended it I decided to give it a go. Was a very good night, lots of fun and I got to meet alot of nice people in just a couple of hours

I booked in for this weeks speed dating event on Wednesday morning. At the time of the booking it clearly stated on the webpage that the girls tickets had sold out and that two guys tickets remained. After making payment I received a confirmation email and all was well.

When I arrived at the venue Wednesday night the lady running the event told me that for some reason I wasn’t on the list. After I showed my booking confirmation, she told me not to worry she would speak with her manager and organise me a name tag. I went to the bar, bought a drink and waited. A few minutes later when she approached me I was absolutely shocked that her manager she was speaking to on the phone said I couldn’t attend and that I would be refunded. Obviously she was only doing what she was told so I called the ASD mobile number, and spoke with the guy on the other end. He was adamant that he would not let me attend and could do nothing but offer a refund. His excuse being that I had met a couple of the girls before at a previous event and it would be “awkward”. He did not seem to care at all that I had made a booking and was already at the event. If this was a problem my booking shouldn’t have been accepted in the first place or at the very least someone should have called me a couple of hours before and stopped me from wasting my entire night..
I have attended a few ASD events in the past and most times there has been uneven numbers, sometimes even two or three extra guys. So one extra guy would have made no difference on Wednesday. He could have easily made everything right there and then by allowing me to attend, but instead seemed to get pleasure out of ruining my night.
It’s amazing how it only takes one bad egg to ruin the image of a company. I will no longer be recommending ASD as I have been in the past, and won’t be coming back.
Not knowing me, you're probably assuming that there's more to the story I'm not mentioning. I can assure you I've always been very polite and well mannered when attending in the past and there was no reason for what happened at all. Hopefully this was a once off and isn't happening to others. Think twice before booking.

Recently single, a friend of mine recommend Adelaide Speed Date whom he met his wife at a Speed Dating Event. I was a little nervous at the start, but the time flew by. It was great fun and quality of girls was better than I thought :) I had to relocate for work to brisbane so I am going to use their services again as they run in Brisbane also

I went speed dating for the first time the other week. I had an absolute ball. Included in the cost was one free drink, food and I was lucky enough to have 19 6 minute dates! It is a fun way to meet guys and the girls (you know how we talk!) and it gets you out of the house doing something!
