If I could give half a star I would.
I had to lodge a claim at the ombudsman.
My car has been waiting for a spare part for 7 months. Still no ETA. They only use their repairers and their repairer only order parts through one dealership for my model of car. Not like others that shop around. Just a poor business model and companies who do their repairs to be that crap.
Got a pay out and will do my up most best to stop anyone ever insuring a skateboard with them (so to speak).

Absolutley terrible company to deal with. Really dishonest and utter bullies who consistently refuse to do the right thing. Cant even call them, who has the time to be on hold that long??

Worst experience ever, I spent over 6 hours on the phone for a water damaged TV that WILL cost Vero $399. The phone system is terrible, no option for them to call you back you just have to wait and listen to the worst music in the universe. on several occasions I was told I may wait up to 20 mins and at around 1hr I gave up. In one instance I ended up getting transferred to another insurance company, after 1hr of waiting and they tried to get through for me and their office was closed according to the message(it was the middle of the day on the weekend - they say they are open on the weekends).

eventually I got through to Vero, I sent all my photos and details and 16 days later they call back and leave a message to call them.......here we go again.......noooooo.
this time i only had to wait 30mins for someone to answer and tell me they need a professional to have a look at the giant water marks running through the TV and see if the damage was really from water(from a storm).

Maybe they need the storm professional as well as the TV professional to have a meeting and discuss the outcome. IT IS VISABLE IN THE PHOTOS - PLEASE HAVE MY RUINED TV VERO......PLEASE.
Vero will spend a lot more money and time than necessary to do what I have been paying them to do.

I wonder how long I will have to wait.

Although there prices are cheaper than others their service is poor. They said they would pay my claim if I obtained certain information and when I did they found other reasons not to pay out. I have since changed my insurer and would not recommend them.

Hi Maplesyrup, thank you for the 'heads-up' in relation to your experience with the afore-mentioned business. We have subsequently added them to our family's personal 'avoidance' listing. Regards, Reeces

The initial price was good, however i needed to make a claim and i felt the service was lacking, i had to call a number of times and leave a number of messages before i actually got through to someone to be informed that my representative no longer worked for the company. I was then referred to someone else whom i had to leave numerous messages with before i got a response. I felt that the way my claim was handled was a bit unprofessional.

They pay out on most claims and have their own assessors that come out to assess your vehicle, however their service is not so friendly or professional and most of them do not really know their product.

Approximate cost: $500.00

I was recently in a car accident. The accident itself was unclear who would be at fault. I called my insurance agency Vero and reported the claim. Initially they were great and said the accident sounded like the other drivers fault and they ordered a tow truck for my car. I called back the next day to see where I should get my rental car from and that is when everything turned bad. They had now talked to the other drivers' insurance company and said it was my fault. I supplied them with 3 other witnesses which all believed it was the other drivers fault. I called them several times over the next 2 weeks checking on the claim and at no time did they even call one of the witnesses. I became very annoyed and escalated the issue several times. My car was fixed and the issue was still pending, the insurance company said I had to pay my excess to get my car back. I paid the excess and waited for further details from the insurance carrier. I waited 2 weeks still nothing. I sent them a letter 2 weeks later informing them I would be referring this to my attorney. I finally started to see action on the claim; they have now contacted all the witnesses and are proceeding with getting the issue resolved. It really does not matter if the claim is resolved in my favour or not however I expect that my carrier is looking out for my best interests and in this case they clearly were not.

Approximate cost: $1000
