I have stayed here many times mainly due to the good prices and inclusions of breakfast and free drinks in their bar. However, some issues have arisen such as putting us in a room that was not the one we requested. Once there was also very loud music until 11.30pm from their ballroom. As we were with a baby this made the night difficult as we wanted to go to bed early, but were kept awake. However, the rooms are nicely decked out, the breakfast is great and the restaurant and bar and particularly nice.

My wife and I spent our wedding night at The Royce, and the only bad part of it was not knowing how to use the bath, and even though the concierge high tailed it straight up to our room, she too didn't know what to do.
The complimentary buffet breakfast was fantastic after a big day previously, and with an 11:00am checkout, it allowed us to relax and not rush home. Will be back for 5th anniversary.

Stayed here for one night with my wife. Over the phone booked a room where they stated corner spa, on arrival a few days later was given the key to the room then left to find our own way up down the back lift. Found room had normal bath sized spa (not fit for 2)! Barely an apology and when I complained further was given a bottle of wine to compensate. Place looks great but service was not up to standard as for the same price we could have had a room with corner spa in various other city hotels.

The building itself lends itself to history. Not to big and out of the concrete jungle. Daughter and I stayed the night and were upgraded the moment we arrived. We had a peaceful night and found staff had courtesy and thought of your every need before you spoke. We enjoyed the fruit the bacon eggs and toast cooked to perfection on the buffet breakfast and felt we could come back with ease to enjoy this fine piece of history and hospitality. We came in on a reduced price so this made it better on the hip pocket but if I had to pay full price then would still consider this place. Gardens surrounding it for nice walks in light hours

Approximate cost: $160

Thankfully we had our wedding reception at the Royce Hotel and we could not have been happier! From the first time we viewed the room to the day itself Sharyn the event co-ordinator was fantastic! So well organised and nothing is too much trouble. Catered for all our guests requirements without a hassle at all and our hosts on the night Mohammed and Tanya could not have been better. The food was the best and we haven't heard a bad word yet from any of our guests! Included a suite for the night which was amazing and one less thing to organise! A must for anyone considering their wedding there!

Mu husband and I had the most magnificent wedding reception at this hotel. It is a boutique hotel and just the staircase alone is amazing. We had so many people comment on the fact our wedding was so beautiful and the venue was great. The food was also spectacular!
