Went there with my wife for dinner on special occasion , Entree was ok , but Curry were crap, first time in my life had butter chicken which was sweet ,, In reality butter chicken is smooth with silky gravy but food which we were served was like S**t. When we go to restaurant we expect some quality food but i have no idea how these ppl are running this,Regret for trying them for once ,, worst food experience ever.

We made a 1.30pm booking for a buffet that goes til 3pm. When we arrived, there were no tables for us, so we were told to wait. After ten minutes there was a table. However, when we went to get food, there was no biryani rice basically. We asked the waitress if there would be anymore, and she said there wouldn't be. After all this stuffing around, we basically went straight out.

Nice food, biryani was great. I think the management has changed and the taste has come back. I have been there after 8 months and the last time i went there the food was not that great. I guess the new people have turned it around. Would definitely recommend.

My b/f and I went to dinner on the opening night, they were accommodating and gorgeous to be around. Yes the food is HOT, we suggested that they give ratings on the menu for the faint hearted. Also suggested dimming the lights, it's too bright. However throughly enjoyed what we ate. Don't get take away from here, dishes seemed rather small.

Arranged a Surprise Birthday party and these guys said yes to everything we asked for. They are great and so do their service. Menu is limited but covered most of the things. We have ordered 6 varieties of starters which are very good, Yes; as most of the posted reviews food is hot if you cant handle it. It is a south Indian restaurant and I expect that it will be hot, so my suggestion is ask before you order.
We all enjoyed our food, biryani's, roti's & curries, and mostly had a wonderful evening. Best of all its not that bad on my purse either. Recommend every curry lover to go and try this restaurant. Try chilli chicken mmmmm yummy..

the ambiance is good and so is the decor , however the food is appalling and very hot, we were not asked whether we wanted it hot or mild we just could not eat it being Indian.......shocking am totally dissatisfied. there is no authenticity as claimed by the menu. the butter paneer masala was like a sweet dish, totally horrified with the overarll experience woul dnver go there agian and will never ever recommend anyone to go there no value for money and it was a total spoilt evening. the food was shocking..............

On Sunday night along with a group of 12 people has visited this restaurant & didn't enjoy the food. We ordered starters & it wasn't all that up to the mark. Later for the main course we ordered biryanis and must say it was very very spicy & not very flavor full. The cinnamon and cardamom flavors had overpowered the dish. Biryani should have be complemented with a yoghurt dressing instead of a watery buttermilk and some salad dressing. Overall i am unhappy customer & wouldn't visit the place again. I don't think so its authentic Hyderabad biryani, was eaten much better biryani than that one.
Cheers

Awesome Hyderabadi Cuisine, Spl Biryanis, Kebabs we too good. I never had such a Biryani ever in my life..WOW. It is like a palace inside, the service was good and its value for money. Nice ambience nice portraits of kings, truly a kings place. If you love Hyderabadi food then Nawabs Palace is the right place, and the desserts Qubani-ka-mitta...yummmy made with apricots.. was too good. I went with family first had a very good experience then i went with my friends and all of them were so happy. I highly recommend everyone to go and enjoy the food. The food is so simple and cooked to perfection, i reccon this is the only authentic Hyderabadi restaurant in Melbourne..and Sundays all u can eat only for $15 bucks, u can eat Biryanis, Kebabs, Dessert and more....a must try...........................................................WWWOOOOWWW. I feel realy happy to share this information as if i am on the moon...

Afraid I have to disagree with the anonymous rating already posted here. Have never posted a review before, but couldn't let people think this was true. Went to Nawab's on a Friday night, with 4 people. The place was packed, but the service was excellent - firendly, personable and efficient. And the food ... yum!! We are plannign to head back very soon for their 'all you can eat' on a Sunday.

This is a newly opened restaurant. I have been craving for a perfect Hyderabadi Biryani and tried at so many Indian Restaurants since I came to Melbourne last year. I am sure my search ended at this restaurant. I have tried few other entrees as weel they are simply cooked to perfection and are so authentic, you may not have experienced before. A must try!
