Types of Remedial Massage Therapy techniques used:

Deep Tissue Massage: a firm massage that gets into deep, tight muscles.

Trigger Point Therapy: direct digital pressure applied to the trigger point/knot.

Myofascial Dry Needling: pins/acupuncture needles placed directly into trigger points within muscles (Craig only)

Cupping: specialised cups placed on the skin that draw the tissues up to promote local circulation. (Monique only)

Sports Massage: Adjusted to suit the athlete prepping for, or recovering from a sporting event.

Myofascial Release (MFR): a slow, focused technique aimed at treating the tissue that surrounds the muscles (myofascia)

Joint Mobilisation: A gentle and rhythmic movement of a joint within it’s natural movement pattern. Helps decrease joint stiffness.

Pregnancy Massage: mildly adjusted to suit the needs of an expecting mother. Safe and effective. A special pregnancy cushion is used so the expecting mother can enjoy a treatment lying on her front…very popular!
