Jan Power runs her farmers market in four different locations across Brisbane - weekly in the CBD, bi-monthly at the Powerhouse in New Farm, and once a month in Mitchelton and Manly. Living nearby, I've gone to the Mitchelton market nearly every month this year - I only wish it was there more frequently.

Jan clearly sources amazing stall-owners for her markets - the produce is fresh and you can get a huge range of food items, such as fresh fruit and veges, herbs, bread, dips, antipasto, gourmet sausages, fresh meat and seafood, nuts, pastries, fresh juices, pancakes, bagels, popcorn, rice paper rolls - there is literally something for everyone.

On top of that, there is a vast range of other products and services, homemade creams and ointments, hand towels, clothes, knives, home made wooden chopping boards to name a few off the top of my head.

The range is unbelievable and most of it is incredibly affordable and for what isn't the cheapest, it is worth paying the extra to support the local producers. If you enjoy farmers markets, I recommend getting down to a Jan Powers Farmers Market - dogs and children are welcome, it's the most relaxing and enjoyable way to spend the morning on the weekend!

The markets have a huge range of top quality fruit & vegetables along with fresh pasta, flowers etc. You can also buy freshly squeezed fruit juices/smoothies as well as a large range of food to eat on the go there. The prices are great and the quality is brilliant
