We were very impressed in this hotel in the centre of Melbourne. Rooms are quite small but incredibly clean and safe. Great shower and well maintained. Book on the hotel website as we booked through 3 rd party and paid about $25 a night. Walking distance to free bus, trams, shopping, dockside and city. Breakfast included and was delicious. We will stay again.

We were looking for overnight accommodation as we had a function at the Docklands. We found Hotel Sophia to be clean, tidy but simple. It offered everything the big name hotels have but at a fraction of the price. If you are looking for a cheap short stay in the city that is close to Etihad Stadium I would highly recommend this hotel. A basic hot breakfast was included in the price !
