Ordered Mongolion lamb. The half a dozen small pieces of lamb was tasty. However the 260gms of sliced onion was gross. I paid $17.50 for one and a half onions and a handful of lamb strips - total rip off.I have to point out that the meals that the dine in patrons were enjoying were much more generous with the vegetable and meat portions. I was quite looking forward to a generous portion that I could share with my husband - not possible. Will never go back.

Approximate cost: $17.50

The food used to be alright, but it seems as though they are cheating their customers these days. My most recent visit was extremely disappointing and I will never again return to this restaurant in future. I ordered 'Mongolian Lamb', but it was really 90% fried onions and 10% lamb meat (should have been called 'Mongolian Onions' instead). And my 'Fish Fillet' was pretty much batter coating with very, very little fish inside (should have been call 'Fried Batter Coating' instead). For the same price, you'll get 2-3 times more meat portions at any Chinese restaurants in the area and with better and more authentic taste too [Retracted details of other business.]

The food is good but the service has deteriorated recently for ordering takeaway. We have been getting takeaway from this place for many years. However more recently wait times have increased. (Usually they say the food will be ready in 15 - 20 minutes. But takeaway customers seem to get "pushed back" if the "in shop dinning is busy". Today we waited 30 minutes.

We went to the shop to place the order to make sure communication was clear. We stated our order several times (by name and number). The workers have fairly poor English but confirmed our order. (My friend was with me and we both heard the order being read out and it matched what we wanted.) We ordered and were charged for honey king prawns.

When we received the takeaway they said "honey king prawns" but when we got home we discovered it was "honey chicken". I called to tell them they had made a mistake. They said it was our mistake and if we wanted the "honey prawns we would have to pay for it". I checked the prices on our takeaway menu and we had been charged for the king prawns not the honey chicken. The shop wasn't even prepared to give us a refund for the difference in the costs.

They seem to have lost their way in making profits and have forgotten about the service. We were regular customers but aren't going back. . . The honey prawns were supposed to be for a special birthday dinner and we ended up being disappointed.

This place is small the furnishings are simple. Was introduced here by friends who said the 3 cup chicken is fantastic and it certainly was. Other dishes ordered include salt and pepper calamari (crispy and delicious), sichuan style eggplant (so-so), a tofu and egg dish (so-so) and black pepper beef (so-so). I guess the lesson at the end of the day is you need to know what to order since some dishes I'd come back for, whereas other dishes aren't worth the effort.

Very long waiting time for seats, dishes taste normal.
Staff very stern looking and unapproachable.
Had requested for some minor changes to the dish but staff said no changes.
Would not recommend going back again.

Being a local Chinese takeaway, Golden Rice meets the standard expectations of this category. The food is slightly greasy like most, however there are a few dishes that are a MUST TRY in this place, (i.e. the spicy hot & sour soup, Kung Po chili chicken, Pork strips pickled cabbage, and combination tofu).

The price is also competitive compared to similar joints in local area.
