Dear Culture Bean Cafe, last Saturday my boyfriend and I visited the cafe seeing as it is ‘vegan friendly’ as stated on Zomato.com. We were served by the youngest girl working at the register. We ordered two acai bowls, one normal latte and an almond milk latte. After ordering we double checked our order, reinforcing that I was vegan(no animal products) and were assured that the order was correct. When the coffees were served, I took a sip of my latte to discover that it wasn’t almond milk and that it was actually normal milk. This disgusted me firstly seeing that I am vegan, and after double checking my order, the staff member obviously disregarded my almond milk request. As you may know, it’s overwhelming for a vegan to accidentally consume animal by-products seeing as it is unethical, could potentially cause a bad reaction and not to mention the fact that I am intolerant to dairy. I advise you to notify Zomato.com to refine their description seeing as simple vegan requests can’t be followed.
To double check we hadn’t mistaken the coffee, we took it back to the register and asked the barista if it was almond milk, and turns out it wasn’t. The young girl who served us was completely oblivious to the fact that we order an almond milk latte “oh, did you order that”, and then rolled her eyes.
I understand that mistakes can be made, but under no circumstances should a staff member try and guilt a customer (especially after I heavily enforced that I was vegan).
On the other hand, we ate inside and there was no heating which was a little uncomfortable whilst eating the acai bowl seeing as it was icy old, also I found the muesli too hard and possibly ‘stale’.

I popped in last Sunday morning for breakfast & a quick coffee. After all the hype behind this little cafe I had been hearing from my family & friends, I had to try it out for myself. We arrived at the cafe just after 11am and, unsurprisingly, it was packed full. Luckily enough, we only needed to wait 5 minutes to be seated & we were able to get a seat by the window which was nice. I grabbed a coffee and decided to try both the Muesli & their famous acai bowl, and both turned out to be delicious. The yogurt they use is beautifully creamy & tasty and the fruit was very fresh & exotic. Loved the added Muesli in the Acai bowl too, so it's safe to say that the dishes didn't last long.

It was very busy in the cafe so it did take a fairly long time to get our food after ordering. however, the staff were nice enough to acknowledge this & kindly offered to shout us another coffee as an apology. Alhough we didn't accept, the gesture was very impressive & showed that they do care for their customers.

The only issue I have with the cafe is parking. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to find a car spot on the nearby streets, especially at peak business times for them. I believe there is a car park near by but it is still a decent walk to the cafe from there. This isn't really a negative of the cafe but it's really the only thing I can think of that wasn't exceptional. I would just advise future customers to bear this in mind when heading specifically to Culture Bean.

The truth is that I loved my first experience with Culture Bean Cafe, the coffee was excellent, the food was delicious & it was very affordable at about $20 each depending on what you get. I left the cafe, very full & very satisfied and that's all anyone should ever feel after leaving such a place, looking forward to going again soon!
