My daughter has danced at Centre Stage Academy for over ten years. She has been challenged and grown as a dancer every year. The teachers are innovative and qualified and the yearly concert is of an amazingly high standard. The culture is a perfect mix of work and fun and I have nothing but good things to say about Centre Stage Academy.

IMO, this school is focused on perfect dance technique at the expense of the students' wellbeing. My little girl came home in tears a few times after being shouted at during class. Another mum complained about a concert costume fitting too tightly, and was told not to feed her 6 year old child dinner until after the concert (at 9pm).

There are also many extra costs that aren't mentioned upfront. These are: Uniform ($90), shoes ($20 - $90 depending on the class), concert tickets ($40 per person to watch your own child), concert costumes ($150 total for the two performances), hair piece ($15 - because apparently our kids' hair isn't long enough?!)

If you're just looking for a fun activity for your child, this might not be the dance school for you.

An excellent dance academy with VERY affordable prices! It has lessons for all ages and abilities, and various studios in Chatswood and North Sydney. The instructors are really helpful and know what they're doing.
