had a nice work lunch here to farewell a colleague. Nice food, good range but I felt the prices were a little too much. However, good servings and quality. Friendly service and waitress was nice enough. We were the only people in the place as it was later in the afternoon so I can't comment on service when busy. Big parmas with real chicken breast, lots of options for toppings, good range of other items too like pasta and such. They ran out of bread for my wrap so I had to order something else - that was the only annoying thing really.

Attended a work Christmas dinner here. Food was really good - but there was a dampner when all of the steaks were incorrectly cooked to order. Also, the waiting staff appeared to be all be casuals that were working the back of the room and lacked the polish expected of such an establishment. Drinks were often forgotten and had to be reordered, once more than twice. Also, incorrect beveridges were regularly provided.

Had a team lunch here with work. Friendly staff, was a bit crowded but not too full. Mainly came for drinks and had nachos, chips and wedges, all what you would expect. Good place for a friendly gathering.

This place is great. We ate in the basement part and were very pleased with the entire experience. Food was delightful - I had the fresh fish kebab, lovely. The service was very attentive. On the night we attended there was also live jazz, which made it a very nice outing. I will definitely be going back again.

Our company had christmas function here and it was the most memorable one. The function was held at the downstairs bar. It was a 3 course meal and the foods were amazing. The main highlight was the steak - it was so tender and grilled to perfection. The sauce was delicious. The dessert was amazing too- freshly fried chocho churros. We also had the bar to ourselves and everyone kept going back for more cocktails.

I haven't eaten in the restaurant but have frequented the downstairs lounge/bar quite a bit and it's a very cool place, though it's not particularly cheap. Good atmosphere and plenty of comfy seats to park yourself on.

We were seated quickly and had our orders taken shortly thereafter. The food was a little slow to come out. After the initial eagerness to take our order, we found it difficult to get the attention of wait staff to get table water refills, and in the end, the bill. The food was lovely, but with the high prices and inattentive service, I would not return.

I made a booking for my birthday, to use the birthday voucher they sent me.
despite the nice interior, is was not a good experience.
1. they attempted to pressure me into ordering a number of tapas items "to start" - i think it was their way of clawing back the value of the voucher
2. service was lukewarm at best. Whilst the ordinary waiters were friendly enough, the manager was rather stiff especially after I rejected the idea of ordering tapas.
3. service was a little patchy - the friendly waiters were a little absent minded, I ordered a dessert (pavlova roll) which clearly contains cream apart from the fruit compote and berries and meringue. As I am allergic to dairy products I asked the waiter to request for no cream, the waiter informed me that the dessert was not served with cream (probably because cream was not mentioned in the menu), but sure enough when the dessert came out, there was cream wrapped up inside the roll! Luckily I had someone else trying the dessert for me first.

I joined Bluestone's VIP mailing list and recieved a free 2 course dinner for my birthday. My fiance and I had also been looking at the restaurant as a place to hold our wedding and reception. We went on a Tuesday night at 8pm and the place was about 1/2 full (upstairs, not sure how the downstairs lounge was). We were immediately seated at a secluded table in the back, it was very romantic. The atmosphere of Bluestone is cozy and romantic and just all around lovely. They have several large gold framed mirrors on the wall that are just gorgeous. We ordered a dozen oysters which were good sized and beautifully presented. Next we had their herb crusted scallops which just melted in your mouth. They were outrageously delicious. Portions were pretty good for the price. We both ordered the scotch fillet which I believe is their signature dish. I am not a big steak person but this was by far THE best steak I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and served with a fantastic red wine and turkish mushroom sauce. Phenomenal! I will agree with other users that their menu is small. I'm not much of a wine drinker so I can't critique the wine list but they seemed to have a good (kinda pricey) selection. Overall we enjoyed i immensely and would highly recommend
