I went in with 16 weeks of regrowth, I was growing out so I could switch from on scalp bleaches (done by my old salon in NSW), to a less maintenance, more natural, foil style. I specifically asked for foils and low lights to blend my natural colour with my blonde mid lengths and ends. What I got was foils that took almost 2 hours to put in... meaning the first ones cooked in foil for about 2.5 hours while the last ones got a quarter of that. The stylist then covered the whole root section with a dark brown - darker than my natural root colour. He didn't listen to my needs with regard to my cut. Im a paramedic and have been growing my face layers so they will tie back. I specifically said I didn't want them cut because I had been growing them. He went ahead and trimmed then anyway... but then kept going back and cutting more, and more. I had to actually be assertive and ask him not to cut any more. I've never had to do that before! I left the salon with annoying short face layers, hair that was shorter on one side than the other (very obvious at the back); a brown patch of hair at the back where the blonde layers had been cut too short and left a big patch of my natural colour showing; roots that were darker than pre-colour... so actually looking even MORE like I needed to have my roots done! It was not blended at all, as I requested. It essentially looks the same except with darker roots and a bad cut... and Im $460 poorer. I wish I read the reviews from others before booking, but I was desperate for an appointment as I had my father's funeral to attend. I reached out which l while I was still in a position to have my hair fixed, but received no response. I then emailed when I got home to NSW and received a reply that 'oh, our messenger was hacked and we don't get messages via Facebook) ?so fix it?? The response I received was rude, and blunt. She tried to tell me I would have had my foils washed multiple times during the process. When I told her I was at the basin once to have ALL foils washed, she had no response. Leasa also told me it was normal to have my natural colour sticking through at the back like it is. Well, for the 20 years I've been blonde Ive never had it look so ridiculous. It has NEVER shown through like that! She then went on to offer a thinly veiled 'solution' that I drove 6 hurs back to Melbourne so she could have a look...knowing full well I wouldn't be taking up that offer . I requested a refund to have my hair fixed but was refused. The problem was never the price, but what I received for the price...a revolting mess. For $460 I would expect it to be spot on... not what I got. Now Ive had to make an appointment again already to have it fixed. The salon owner doesn't care. She's clearly more interested in money in the bank than customer service/satisfaction. Don't do it. Go elsewhere.

Wish I never supported this business. Lack of care to make sure there's a clear understanding of what's wanted, and no sense of empathy when their customer's unhappy.
I emailed them and really don't appreciate how the owner has handled this, just disappointed.

My Email: Hello, I had my hair dyed on Thursday the 18th from 4:30. I just wanted to voice again that I'm not happy with how my hair has been bleached and I wasn't listened to or asked to clarify what I wanted if I wasn't understood. I specifically asked for a very gradual change to lighter towards the ends of my hair and said on the day "I just don't want it to be very noticeable" I also went into detail over the phone when i made my appointment that i wanted a very gradual change from my natural hair colour to the ends getting lighter.
I didn't feel any empathy when i said that i wasn't happy with how my hair turned out and i was still charged $313 for getting my hair bleached in a way i never wanted which isn't something i can fix without waiting for it to grow out which will take around 2 years because i have such long hair and only wanted it that light right near the ends. After I left the salon I dyed my hair by myself because I was so upset with what I was left with.
I just wanted to send this email to let you know I plan to write very bad reviews and give you the opportunity to refund the amount I paid to have my hair ruined, if you want to show that you do actually care about your customers.
Sorry to be sending this email, I have taken photos of all sides of my hair before I dyed it myself to add to reviews and prove how little I was listened to.

Their Response: Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the feedback.
We did have this conversation on Thursday and I did offer you to call me if you were still unhappy in a few days. I did offer to rectify your concerns on the day but you were not happy with what I was offering and declined to accept that offer.
I did do a full consultation prior to your hair service and your brief was that you wanted the blonde pulled up higher and you showed me where with your hand. I asked you several times about the blend and offered you different options. Each option was explained. From the communication, the result you got was what I gathered you wanted.
At no point did you only ask for blonde on the ends as that is what you came in with. You ask for the blonde to be taken up higher and I explained the process to blend out the line. You were informed of all steps along the way and agreed to each step.
Either way, the hair would need to be lighted and then toned down again to avoid too much warmth in the hair. This is the technique of colour melt and is used globally.

I cannot offer a refund as you have now tampered with the colour and I did offer to pull the colour melt down further to your liking but you refused this offer and I have had no further requests from you.
The company policy states that we do not offer refunds and we offer tweaks of the colour if there is any part you are unsatisfied with. We cannot take any further responsibility for your colour or hair now that you have applied your own colour at home. This is all stated on our website.

The price we charge is for the colour used and the time of the Stylist. This was all up to standard and the issue was a change of mind after the initial consultation.
I don’t take threats of bad reviews lightly and it is never a way to get your point across or rectify any situation. As I always say, there is a way to communicate your point and threats and slander are never morally correct. However, you do have the choice to vocalise how ever you want. If you choose to write a bad review, I will reply accordingly.

So again, thank you for your time and good luck with your future hair journey.
I just wish this could all have been resolved in a much nicer and more mature way.

Absolutely love this salon, there isn't a rating scale for them because they exceed every expectation. Love the service, love the staff and the location is great. Would highly recommend!

Leesa and her team are fantastic, they've made my hair so much more manageable, and do the best foil job I've ever had in my 12 years of being blonde.
Cleanest blonde ever!

Hannah rescued my daughters hair from a horrendous "packet dye" experience. In one visit the hair was brought back to lovely ash blonde with highlights could not be happier, I thought it would take months as it was just awful. Hannah took such time and care with her work & result was stunning.

Leasa is an extremely talented hairdresser. I have particularly uncooperative hair and she always manages to colour and cut it in a way that means that I look decent when I style it (not just when I walk out of the salon).
The salon itself is well equipped and the staff are always polite and friendly. I have been seeing Leasa for many years because she keeps up with current trends and continues to provide a brilliant service.
While the salon is occasionally overbooked and the wait for an appointment can be up to half an hour I return with my patronage because the outcome is totally worth it.
Plus, if you have your hair cut, Leasa's policy is the fringe trims are free of charge - no more dorky between cut home botch jobs!

Thanks mandabum1. We are definitely working on reducing waiting times this year and are currently in review of our booking times so thanks for the feedback.

Yet another *amazing* cut + blow-wave by a true industry professional! I've been seeing Leasa for nearly 15 years now, which in itself is a true testament to not only her exceptional abilities across the hair and makeup landscape, but also the level of faith and trust I have in her skill, knowledge and creative flair.

Leasa's attention to detail is outstanding and unlike most stylists who may be dismissive of clients who bring in ideas which may not always be the suitable, Leasa really values the importance of working closely with her clients, not just through the initial consult, but right through to final styling so that as a client, you absolutely understand the steps being taken + the process.

Leasa never makes you feel uncomfortable if you have questions (no matter how silly they are) about a cut, colour or style direction and the really great thing is that she also helps you understand if there might be certain styles or colours which may be better suited to you than others, dependant on your hair type or condition, skin tone, personal style, etc and it's really important for stylists to have these open and honest conversations, so that you're both on the same page right from the start.

I've recommended Leasa to many of my close friends through the years, all of whom continue to see her, which is really great to see :)

I haven't been to the hairdresser in many years, and I had the lovely Jess cut my hair. The price was really reasonable and I will go back to book a colour appointment once I shed myself of full time student status. Even the colouring prices are excellent too, I just can't afford it all at once. I will be back... definitely!

Lisa and the team are always so cheerful. It is a pleasure to spend time in their salon. Lisa ensures that you are satisfied with your cut and/or colour. The best bit? They'll trim your fringe for free between cuts - no more bathroom disasters!
