Love the soto ayam ambengan and ayam rica rica! The pricing is a bit steep for additional rice and sauce/crunchies (kremes). It does provide complimentary water and the venue has better ambience than bintang cafe around the corner

Very authentic soto ayam. Came across this restaurant as I was driving by and saw soto ayam on the signage and immediately wanting to try as this was my fave dish during my stay in surabaya. The taste was indeed authentic and quite generous. Staff was friendly. will definetely try other dishes next time.

Compared with other Indonesian restaurants, Batavia is considered as the one which offers good value of money. The price is not that cheap, compared with Bintang Cafe, the other Indonesian restaurant in the same block, but the variety and taste are excellent. My fave is 'Soto Ambengan' (chicken soup), which has the original taste, similar with what I've expected of.

Good food, good servings for the price, although servings seem to have decreased in years. Always come up with something new to try.

They are delicious! Nice Indonesian food! Just around the corner from my house so suits me well. The price is reasonable and the meals proportionate. I love their risoles and fried meat ball (I think thats the correct term?) Their 'soto ayam' is also tasty especially on a cold winter night. Nice place to have with friends as its not too noisy

Ive always enjoyed eating at Batavia Corner. The food is delicious and gives people a real taste of Indonesian food. I would reccomend it to any person wanting to try Indonesian food, as not only is the taste fantastic but the prices and portioning are extremley reasonable too.
