I ordered a sizzling seafood with a small rice. It was served within a reasonable time frame and at a good temperature but it certainly wasn't sizzling which I was quite disappointed with. The presentation at our table was not nice at all. It had 2 jars, each with a dead flower in them. Not sure if I would want to return.

Located in the South Piazza of Charlestown Square Shopping Centre, this Thai Restaurant caters for Lunch and Dinner. I normally have Lunch here on Saturdays after shopping inside the Centre, and have always found the Lunch Specials to be good value. Typical Thai Menu so if you have eaten Thai then you know what to expect, and the servings are quite adequate considering the the Lunch Special price of under $11. Service is always quick and friendly, and the place is normally not crowded at lunch time, so the food is served normally within 15 minutes from sitting down. Overall this is a great place to have a meal if you like typical 'Australianised Thai' (not too hot), however if you like it with a bit of 'Bangkok Heat' just ask for "extra Spicy". Good food, and good service.

Big meals for good prices. Most nights they have live music, food is fast and very good but watch out it have a bit of a kick.
Great for a nice dinner with friends or family would be more then happy to go back for a bite.

I go here often before attending the movies and I always have a good experience. The staff are friendly and the menu is filled with choice and all meals I've had have been really yummy and well sized. They offer the option to take-away any unfinished meals which is a great service. It's also great fun to have a birthday dinner here as the staff dim the lights bring out neon 'happy birthday' signs and sing to you! A great place to eat!

Delicious thai food with great service. You can usually get a table without booking but there is usually a good crowd at this popular restaurant. Live entertainment on most occasions. They make a great fuss if it's your birthday and request it for friends/family. I just love the food. Yum! You can see them cooking through the glass screens with the buzz of flashing flames as you wait for your meal. Good sized tables if you want to bring a crowd of people yourself. They also split bills which is fantastic. Great location too - near the cinema, other great restaurants and also the max Brenner chocolate shop if you have a desert stomach.

Ive tried many Thai food restaurants in Newcastle and Absolute Thai is defiantly the best by far! The food, prices and service is all outstanding. Always had a very positive experience at Absolute Thai

We have been to this Thai restaurant a few times now when we have holidayed in Newcastle and its pretty good. The food is tasty and fresh and at lunch time they do some great $10 lunch specials. It's part of the new Charlestown Square dining precinct which has such a cool atmosphere.

Absolute thai is one of my favorite Thai Restarant in Newcastle.
Chive is great manager. Know the customer and approach is always positive.
Very clean and delicious food.
They have few very delicious dishes which you will never find any one of a THAI restaurant.
