It was also very desirable that the hotel has a no party policy so it was nice and quiet and we were able to properly relax with a touch of luxury! We were instantly impressed by the cleanliness and open space living it provided. The open kitchen is modern and provides everything you need. There is a huge fridge/freezer and small laundry with both washing machine and dryer. The verandah/balcony is enclosed giving piece of mind to any parent with young children. In saying that, the large windows can actually be lifted and opened so you can catch the ocean breeze. Although we were on the 10th floor, the views are still amazing overlooking the pools, surrounding high rises and the ocean. Beds were super comfy and in spacious bedrooms. The hotel amenities are great however, the gym could do with an update of equipment. There is a fantastic casual bar and burger eatery looking over the pool that is attached to the rear of the premises which can be accessed through the pool area. They have a great menu and the food is yummy as well as reasonably priced for a tourist destination. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Upon checkout we were assisted by ‘Cathy’ who was professional, courteous and extremely accommodating which topped off a brilliant stay and experience. This was our first stay at the Q1 and would definitely recommend this hotel for singles, couples or families. I should have taken photos as we arrived but snapped some just before we left so apologies for the unmade beds.

First, my partner and two friends rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 5 nights on the 15th floor and it was so comfortable... read more and spacious and was easily cooled with the aircon even with both zones selected. Views are beautiful especially when the jetted tub has a view of the city which my partner and I found very romantic. After my mates flew home my partner and I checked into a smaller 1 bedroom apartment, and it was perfect for us, exact same luxury. They left us some champagne and a bath bomb along with some chocolates which we thought was very thoughtful and kind of Q1, and had a stunning view of the ocean which I was surprised we didn’t have to pay more than what we did. The pools and spa and sauna is amazing and the location is so close to everything, so good being able to walk along the beach to get to Cavill ave. Cannot wait to come back and stay here again, special mention to Yumi and Nigel for all their awesome service.
