Coffs Harbour, nestled on the stunning coastline of New South Wales, is renowned for its iconic attractions like the Big Banana and beautiful beaches. However, look a little closer and you will discover a trove of lesser-known gems and hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered. Coffs Creek Walk and Harbour Loop : While the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk is well-known, the Coffs Creek Walk is a quieter alternative that winds its way through lush rainforest and mangrove-lined estuaries. The boardwalk offers a unique perspective of the local wildlife, including a variety of bird species. The loop can be joined not far from the Observatory Apartments. It's an ideal spot for a stroll or ride away from the hustle and bustle. Harbourside Markets : For a taste of the local culture and craftsmanship, head to the Harbourside Markets held every Sunday. Showcasing some of the best products and produce from local artisans, musicians, and farmers. From handmade jewelry to unique artworks, you'll find treasures that reflect the creative spirit of the region. Coffs Jetty Bunker Cartoon Gallery : Tucked away in a former World War II bunker, the Coffs Jetty Bunker Cartoon Gallery showcases a quirky collection of cartoons and caricatures. This offbeat gallery celebrates the art of humor and satire, featuring works from both local and international artists. It's a delightful and often overlooked spot for those seeking a good laugh. Botanic Gardens - Explore the green oasis at the heart of Coffs Harbour. The botanic garden blends a unique range of discovery walks amongst natural forests, planted garden areas including Australian plants, rainforests, a sensory garden, international plants from seven regions, a tropical glasshouse and shade house, ponds and lakes. Information Centre and Shop at the entrance and tranquil resting seats and picnic areas to relax along the way. Sealy Lookout: While not entirely unknown, Sealy Lookout is often overshadowed by other viewpoints. Offering panoramic views of the coastline, the hinterland, and the Great Dividing Range, it's a spectacular spot that's worth the visit. The Forest Sky Pier adds a touch of adventure for those seeking a unique perspective from above. Connect with Coffs Harbour's authentic charm and experience the beauty that often eludes the typical tourist trail. Check out our 5 night sun, sand and surf package to make the most of your visit.
