Hi there! I am running my special blog about photography as photo making is my life. As you know, every professional photographer should have a blog. That contributes to a great degree to success in photo business, as people assess my shooters while reading my blog. Most of my posts come with lots of images, as a rule done by my hand. Recently I had to prepare a new article about various types of photo session ideas. According to my plan this post must be rich in my photo works. 

Thus, I faced a great challenge of providing professional photo touch up to a certain number of raw pictures. I wanted my images to look their best to become alluring advertisements of my work and that is why I was in need to find just the most professional and suitable photo editing companies for photographers. And one more demand was the necessity to get the professional image editing services within 2 working days without losing in quality. 

As an experienced blogger, I am used to concern other people`s evaluations and reviews about certain topic before making my own decision. Reading comments from other users is just a typical behavior for me. But I was really shocked that nothing useful and worth attention can be found after Googling for best photo retouching services / photo editing services reviews / online editing services reviews.

Professional photography editing services reviews

My attempts to find suitable professional photography editing services turned out to be a complete flop. But I did not get disappointed and after some minutes of hesitation decided to start my own investigation and share my experience of finding retouching services for professional photographers. I will write reviews for Top 25 online photo editing service reviews I have tried.

What a professional photo editing service should consists of?

As for me, every photographer, who asks for professional Photoshop services expect to receive only the best in quality editing with following a special style of picture maker at quite affordable rates. Time devoted to post processing images is also important as professionals are used to quick results only. Moreover, I do not want to devote much time to place an order for online retouching services. Thus, customer service and usability of website should enable making an order quick and simple. So, depending on these requirements, I have created my own list of criteria that will help to assess the professionalism of every editing agency. They are:

I planned to send my order for professional editing services to 25 different retouching companies all over the world. My request consisted of 2 portraits that needed to be enhanced. They required such professional photography editing services to be applied as:

• Professional skin retouch
• Professional general enhancement of the photos
• Touch up the background - even it out
• Make eyes pop and remove any stray hair

Looking for professional portrait retouching, I also asked them to get rid of shiny skin and to smooth all visible wrinkles on the model`s clothes. But still natural look of the photographed model was the most important for me as I did not want my photos to be too blurry.

I am not going to show all 25 edited pictures which I received. I will present you only several retouched portraits and point to all editing mistakes and photo defects that have not been removed.

Nude retouching services reviews

I came across this service accidentally when I was searching for professional skin retouch on the internet. At first I hesitated if to try this editing service or look for another one. That matter is that Nuderetouching is a specific professional photo editing company that presents itself as a retouching agency of all photos enhancing services and nude or boudoir retouching as well. I was pleasantly surprised with level of skin editing and that persuaded me to give them chance even despite the fact that my model was not naked on the photos. 

In general my pictures were ready within 35 hours and I did not have to give extra pay. That really pleased me. I had to pay $5 per one edited image and that is believed to be the average rate for professional photo editing services for photographers. The quality and level of retouching you may assess below. But still I have one remark about their service. I did not manage to find improved images of the editing type that I needed. Thus, I had to search the net for long until I found the proper examples. Actually, it was not quite surprising for me, as portrait improving is not the retouching style they specialize in. 

Fotofix reviews and Photofix reviews

I have never come across Fotofix reviews and that has inspired me to do my own one. I decided not to separate these photo improving services. As for me they are real twins, at least I have not found any drastic differences between them. Their site looks quite plain and unprepossessing and the editing before & after are not inspiring me. But still having thought that it is wrong to judge things only based on the first impression and I made up my mind to try the service. Maybe I was wrong and the first impression was also mistaken. But later I was really surprised. While I was placing my photo order I faced such problem:

“Please fix the following errors:

To receive your free professional fix you must opt in to receive our newsletter 

(we send just a few a year and never share your email with anyone). These will include Fotofix promotional discounts and offers. You can opt out at any time after registration.”

For me that was just awful. It meant that to start co-working with them I needed to agree to receive unnecessary info on my email. I had to accept this option to try this retouching service. But that is violation of the rights! My order for 1 portrait was ready within 48 hours. The quality of editing you may see below in my Photofix review. For one image I paid $8 and this price is higher than average retouching rates. 

Photorelive reviews

That is the next editing company in my photo retouching services reviews. That is an agency which was also named the best online photo editing service in forums for photographers. I don’t agree that their site is quite simple and comfortable for using. I received my improved photo works after 44 hours and paid $7 for each of them. That was too long comparing with other services. This price is higher than average ones. But still that is not the worst result in my list of the photo editing services. However, on both photos they did different in colors background. And eyes editing surprised me not in a good way.

Fix the photo review

I continue my top of the best online editing services with Photofix. I have found a lot of Photofix reviews, but have decided to create my own one. The design of their website is quite simple and clear. The usability is quite normal. The only problem is that they have a lot of editing levels and that may confuse photographers who are just beginners in this sphere. But for me that was not a big problem. The rate per one picture is $5 and after 40 hours I got my retouched photo. See below what editing quality they offer:

Retouchgem reviews

Usability of the website is quite standard, but it is impossible to make an order automatically. Plus I did not manage to find head or tail in their pricing. Photo examples are appealing. Unfortunately I did not manage to ask for their professional photography editing services as three times I wrote to them, but I did not receive any answers during 2 weeks. I consider this to be a bad customer service. Thus, I am not able to say anything about their level of professional retouching and whether they can be named as best photo retouchers or not, because I even did not get quotes.

Retouchup reviews

The next will be retouchup reviews. For me it was very hard to make an order. There were too much popup windows. I spent a lot of time trying to understand how it worked and that was quite irritating for me. That is a big minus in my retouchup review. Photo examples are quite standard. I chose retouching pictures on Complete Plus Retouch level and paid $5 for one final image. One more problem I had with Retouchup coupon for discount. I tried to find Retouchup coupon for 5% discount on some popular coupon sites.

But again I wasted too much time and understood that retouchup coupon was just impossible to be found. Moreover, I was surprised by this:

“Retouchup.com provides these terms and conditions "as is". Retouchup.com maintains the sole right to revise these terms and conditions at any time. Retouchup.com reserves the right to terminate such agreement any time without any notice to any such user… “But I had to agree. Otherwise, I could not make this photo order.

Retouche reviews

Website design is quite complicated and usability is hard to understand. There are no prices for photo editing. Thus, I had to ask for a quote and wait for answer more than a day. And the rate for one picture is $15! Definitely that is the most expensive professional portrait editing in this list of the best photo retouching services. One more thing to be added to my retouche review is that it took them 7 days to edit one picture. And if I wanted to get my images quicker than within 8 working days, I needed to pay extra money. (We can do this. You can get files in 8 days or 1 day (as a regular or rush order with 25% extra fee))

Their color correction was awful and they changed the shape of head. I didn`t understand why. That is just a childish mistake with plastic editing.

Tucia reviews

Continue with Tucia photo editing. Their website is not very clear and comfortable for customers. Thus, it is quite readily to make a picture editing order. I like their before & after photo examples. So, both for experienced photographers and just unconfident beginners it is quite easy to choose the suitable editing level. In my Tucia reviews I want to share mixed feelings. Despite the fact that the price for one portrait is $8, which is a little bit higher than average rates for similar online editing services, the quality of the portraits was awful. This service was always said to be the best on this market, but I am a little bit disappointed. The order was received within 36 hours. You can look at the picture quality below.

Pro Image Experts Review

The next will be a review of Proimage. From the first sight the website is simple and appealing. But retouching rates presented there have nothing in common with real ones. Actual prices you can see only after registration. My order was ready after 50 hours and I had to pay $2.25. This is the cheapest one among all mentioned professional photo retouching services. Below you can see their improved image and decide whether they have collected the team of best photo retouchers or not:

Photo editing company reviews

That is one more retouching agency, which is in my list of the best photo editing services. The site looks quite normal and usability is standard, but it is impossible to make an order. The only thing I could do was to send a trial. Like with RetouchGem I wasted much time, but there was no answer. Thus, I cannot assess the quality of their services. One I can say for sure. Their customer service does not work at all.

Shoot dot edit reviews

For me the site is hard to understand. I spent much time until I found something I needed. I had to read just everything. But I cannot start to work with them until I pay subscriber fee, but not for month. For the whole year! I cannot say anything pleasant in my shoot dot edit reviews. I even do not understand how new photographers sign up without seeing their portfolio, because there are no examples of their photo editing works. I tried to find them in Shoot dot edit reviews in Google, but failed. I also watched on Youtube how to make order with them. In general I wasted three hours without any success. There are no rates, just price for one working time, which is $60. That is extremely expensive. You can find pricing only after giving your email, it means that you will receive unwanted letters from them. Don`t want to speak about them anymore. Let`s move further.

Highend-beautyretouching review

To continue speaking about online editing services reviews, let`s consider this service. The usability is normal and retouched examples are professional. But the service is expensive. The minimal price is $10. I made an order for $20. The customer service was very fast and the level of image editing was really High End. The result you can see below:

Photographers Edit reviews

What can be said in my photographers edit reviews? The website is very simple, but still beautiful, but I didn`t find any photo examples and information about retouching levels. I had to send quote for pricing twice and waited a day until they answer. The rate for one working hour is 60$, that is expensive. For one edited photo I paid $18. It’s up to decide.

Vital edit reviews

The next will be vital edit reviews. The usability is standard, but there is no pricing. Just one working hour costs $45. Image examples are appealing to me, but there are no examples of Before-After retouching, so I can`t understand what they can do. Customer service works well.

We Edit Photos review

And one more online photo editing service which I gave the second place in my rating. Actually this service is for wedding photographers mainly but they also do portrait retouching. The site looks simple and it clear what retouching level to choose. The only minuses are the rate ($10 per photo) and the customer service which was a bit slow. But everything else was perfect. Editing turnaround is about 18 hours. They followed my instructions fully and made retouching invisible, natural and amazing. Just look at the before and after example and you will catch my point.

Digital Photo Editing Services review

Nothing pleasant can be said in the digital photo editing services review. The website is difficult to understand. It is impossible to make a photo order, you can request a quote only, but you cannot add files to it. They are interested only in the number of pictures you are going to retouch monthly. Like with RetouchGem I didn`t receive any answer.

Photorestorationretouching reviews

In Photorestorationretouching reviews I want to say that the site looks simple and understandable. But photo examples are awful! On cover slide there is a backdrop changing, where guy`s shoes are clipped in the form of square. Moreover, it is impossible to make an order automatically, just by email.

Wedding-retouching review

One more company added to the photo retouching services reviews. The site is clear, the photo examples are beautiful. But they specialize in wedding editing and that is not suitable for me. The price is not cheap, it is $10.

Essential Edit review

Essential edit review will be quite shot comparing to other photo retouching services reviews. The site is beautiful as well as their photo examples. But you cannot find their prices, only request a price quote. Customer service was slow and they answered not quickly. The quality of editing was bad. So I can name Essential Edit an average service without advanced edit.

Fotofafa reviews & colorati reviews

There are no colorati reviews as this company now is called Fotofafa. That is a very appealing and simple site but there are no picture examples. Price $60 is too high for 1 hour. The level of editing is average. Nothing special can be said in this online photo editing service review.

Evolve edits review

The site is great and retouched image examples are professional, but I didn`t understand how to start order. Usability is low due to pricing and customer`s account absence. Price $70 per hour is too much, because I can`t understand what editing techniques will be applied. Maybe this evolve edits review will be useful for event photographers, because they may use it often. I tried to find evolve edits promo code on internet, but I failed as well as with Retouchup coupon.

Picsera reviews

Came across many Picsera reviews? Read one more! That is the biggest and the most difficult site placed in the photo editing services reviews. I had to visit more than 10 pages until I found the right information. Then I visited another 10 pages with text to find the pricing. After I spent 15-20 minutes trying to make an order, I was informed that it was impossible to do it without asking for a quote with numerous applications filled in.

My lavalu review

One more retouching company. In Mylavalu review I want to say that the site is simple, but slightly old-fashioned, without editing examples and descriptions. Until I phoned them, I couldn`t understand what editing services they provide. It is inconvenient, as photographers do not do it during working hours. My opinion - Mylavalu cannot be named as the best online photo editing service.

Purple matrix retouching reviews

My online editing services reviews come to an end. Now we will discuss purple matrix retouching reviews. The site is classy and shows retouching examples. The level of editing and stylization does not appeal to me. Pricing and the list of provided services are quite difficult. There are too much additional prices for every separate service. Moreover, there are no proper retouching levels. Too much wasted time.

Shark pixel review

And the last agency in the list of the top online editing services is Sharkpixel. That is a professional service with high quality. But that is impossible to make an order and find out prices or deadlines. All these can be received only after emailing to Kristina Sherk, who is one of the best photo retouchers. She has many tutorials on Youtube. But for me this service is not suitable due to high prices and being inconvenient for permanent work.
