Whether it's your first time in counselling or if you have been there before, its common to have some questions. Below are some frequently asked questions about counselling with me.

Can't see what you are looking for? Contact me below and we can chat further.

Consider what you need from therapy and do your research. If you think I might be the best match for you, great! Call, email, or use the booking facility to make your first appointment. No referral is needed, however, it can be helpful in order to keep your GP up to date on your mental health.

Card details will be requested to be held as security or alternatively a deposit to confirm your first appointment. Payment is made at the time of the session.

Wait times can vary. At the moment, there is a short waitlist of about 4 weeks and I can let you know if there are cancellations available to fit you in sooner.

Our first session together is about both of us getting to know each other. I will lead the discussion to learn more about what brings you to counselling, your current circumstance, your history, and your goals for our time together. Some clients have a traumatic history, which I understand. If it is too difficult to talk about some things straight away, that is fine. I will go at your pace.

This first session is also about your getting to know me too. Ask any questions you need to about the process and see if you think we will work well together.

No, at this time, counsellors and psychotherapists are unable to offer Medicare rebates (ie: mental health care plans). If you have a mental health care plan, you can still access our services, however you won’t be able to get a rebate.
