Went there after having sustained a sports injury. My attending physiotherapist was friendly and tried to establish rapport with me. However, he did not seem very compassionate or attentive when listening to me describe my injury.
Price was another concern I had with this visit - charging me $68 for only a consultation and no treatment.
Have ordered from them twice, both for printer cartridges. The first time was great, they were quickly delivered and reasonable value.
However, the second time we ordered from them, we were very disappointed. Though the delivery was once again speedy and the price great, we were surprised to discover upon opening that they had delivered recycled cartridges. The product we purchased had certainly not been listed on their website as being recycled, but to make certain I double-checked the invoice - still no mention of their being recycled.
This was frankly unacceptable, as it amounts to basically false advertising on their part - advertising new cartridges but giving us recycled ones without any warning.
Great, very compassionate doctor who really cares about his patients. Always has a smile for you and is very experienced to boot!
Coffee here was good, well-made. Service was also acceptable, food and drinks arrived promptly. However, the actual quality of the food was a little bit inadequate. The white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake was warm (room temperature) which was disappointing, and lacked the rich cheesiness that is normally present in good cheesecakes. However, that said, the portion was generous and presentation quite good.
The range of food available (particularly desserts) was not very well-published, and overall I felt things were a little bit overpriced for the quality provided.
When we went it was a pretty quiet night; we were one of only two tables in the bistro area. However, even so, the service was only mediocre. The waitresses were not very friendly, and when answering our questions or taking our orders, were brusque, bordering on rude.
They did not have a wide selection of desserts available, but perhaps that had more to do with the particular night we went.
Value was acceptable for a pub/hotel of this calibre.
The decor was good, well-lit and clean.
Came across this mentioned in a blog post - definitely glad I did! It's a new cafe that's extremely well lit and nicely decorated - you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into its aesthetics, from the lovely paintings adorning one wall to the funky orange chairs. Service was excellent, our waitress was warm and friendly, even offering us water without us having to ask for it. Both our drinks came in good-sized portions and I've always been a fan of having milkshakes in the olden-style metal cups, it adds to the experience. My friend's latte was well-made, and the perfect temperature. The only minor issue was that my water glass had a lipstick mark on the rim, which was a little disappointing but overall, it was a great afternoon. My only regret is not trying one of their delicious-looking cakes or sandwiches - next time!!
The Belgian hot chocolate is a definite must-try; made with real melted chocolate, it is rich and amazingly chocolaty. The baked chocolate cheesecake is great, and really good value, being only $4.50 for a slice. The ambience is relaxing and cosy and you are able to sit comfortably, despite the fact that the actual floorspace is quite small.
Coffee was excellent, perfect temperature for drinking. There was a good variety of cakes available, and everything was reasonably priced - especially given that it was the only coffee shop in a hospital, value was very good. The place has a wonderful ambience, the Atrium is bright, well-lit and cheerful. Potted plants add to the atmosphere. Service was great, the ladies, especially the volunteers, are all warm and attentive to your needs.
Lovely cosy ambience, was lucky enough to snag one of the last tables available; but even though she was run off her feet, the waitress was calm, professional and friendly.
Food was great, both pasta dishes we ordered were generous with both the ingredients they used, and also in the actual portion sizes.
The chocolate brulee with a shiraz sorbet that we ordered as a dessert was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended; the presentation was beautiful and the brulee itself was great, the top just brittle enough and the centre creamy and delicious. The shiraz sorbet provided the perfect foil, with its tartness a great counterpart to the sweetness of the dish.
Value-wise it was a great meal, especially given the unexpected but pleasant surprise of a lunchtime special (weekdays only) of any pasta or risotto, and any drink of your choice, for only $22.
Went in for a quick cut the other day; it was my second visit to this cosy salon, and I was no less impressed! First up, the salon is clean and well-lit, and offers a wide selection of magazines for your perusal while you wait.
Secondly, Jamie, my hairdresser, is extremely professional and talented at her craft, knowing (and giving me) exactly the style I wanted without too many words or lengthy descriptions on my part. Value for money was excellent, and I left a very happy customer indeed!
