Between three adults and two kids we shared garlic bread, pizzas, pasta, a salad and the stuffed artichoke from the specials board. It was all great. The Napolitana sauce that came with the artichoke blew me away. I'd usually avoid a tomato- based sauce, expecting the creamy ones to taste better but that sweet sauce was brilliant! The boscaiola was fantastic, too, though.

We were happy to discover Amicis opens at 5pm as we were looking for a place to eat dinner early. We were the only people in the restaurant so the service was fast and attentive. We shared pizzas, a pasta and a lovely Mediterranean salad between kids and adults and everyone loved everything. There was more seating inside that I had anticipated and quute a lot of seating outside, too. The place is clean and modern and you can watch your pizzas being prepared from your table. There aren't many places like this in our area, certainly not with this amount of seating, so we will surely be back. I'd even order the same meal again, which I NEVER do!

This review is for Share Tea, Haymarket NSW

Even my mother in law, with her phobia for all things foreign or new, loved Share Tea when we discovered it a few months back. She fell in love with her strawberry tea while the rest of us loved our bubble teas, lychee jelly tea and jasmine tea. Their pancakes were not the Taiwanese style I am familiar with; they were actually just little normal pancakes filled like sandwich wraps. They weren't exactly a meal, just a snack. Thry were okay but it's the tea you go back for. Even my mother in law has gone back in search of the place!

You're probably only ever going to visit this cafe if the location is convenient to you which is why it seems to be overrun by tradesmen abd builders whenever I visit (late morning). I usually just buy a drink (chai latte, mocha, milkshake) and so far have mostly been disappointed (especially when served lukewarm coffee). Last week we ordered our first brunch. The hot chocolate was certainly the worst drink I've had there, so bland I added sugar to it in order to taste SOMETHING. My eggs benedict, on the other hand, were as nice as any I have had in Camden and the one bite I had of my husband's pancakes was heavenly, though you'd need to be in possession of a super sweet tooth in order to eat the entire serve. My husband LOVED them. So much. I was impressed by their value for money, whereas the eggs benedict were pretty much what you'd expect to pay at any of the local cafes. We're definitely returning for pancakes but I'm tossing up whether to just ask for table water or see if they sell flavoured milk in the carton. If they lift their game in the drink department, I'd probably be there at least once a week.

Though they are also a wine bar, known for their cocktails, I've only been here for brunch and lunch. Their food is consistently good though whenever I order a salad I tend to regret it as they seem to overcook their meat and undercook their roast vegies. Eggs benedict, the chicken burger and theud chips with aioli are always good. Unfortunately, breakfast is not an all-day affair and I rarely get there in time for breakky. It's the breakfast menu that really excites me. They also make juices from scratch - you just tell them what fruit/vegies to throw into the juicer. Seating is limited, particularly if you want to sit indoors.

This review is for Bredbo Pancake & Crepe Restaurant, Bredbo NSW

These guys had the most AWFUL reviews online (for customer service, not the food) so I was very careful to abide by the reviewers recommendations. Number 1 was to book ahead! I had no idea what time we'd arrive in Bredbo but I bloody well booked and luckily I did as the small restaurant was at capacity when we arrived and the "full house" sign went up twice before we left. The crepes were quite good and I wad surprised that I enjoyed the Vittoria coffee as it is always too strong for my liking. It was hot, too, so lasted the duration of the meal. The prices are a bit on the pricey side but given your location in themmiddle of nowhere and the fact there are people outside waiting for a table, the prices are acceptable. As much as we've been looking forward to eating here since driving past six years ago, I wasn't really impressed with the menu. A lot of traditional flavour combinations are missing while there are too many options with curry and with mustard sauce. Next time, I'll bypass that mustard altogether and order the honey and walnut crepes.

We had no problems with customer service however we always ask for a high chair when we book which generally makes staff happy.

This review is for Lake Jindabyne Hotel, Jindabyne NSW

Their ad in the local tourist magazine clearly tells you the Sunday night special is $10 steak, chips and salad but when you get there you have to pay an additional $6 for those chips! Now, no matter what the food is like, that would be the focus of any review! So throw in the fact you have to crowd around a barbecue to cook that steak as well... gee, what a special family dinner on the first night of our short break away! My steak was underdone but I don't think I can enter my husband as a business in his own right! I think he just wanted to get away from the ferals at the barbecue...

This review is for The Station, Jindabyne NSW

Last minute accommodation around the Snowy Mountains during peak ski season is a mixed bag. Your options are mostly limited to very very expensive places that either cater for large groups ($1000 per night split between 4 couples sounds good but not so much for our family of 4) or are just really expensive due to their lavish inclusions or location. We just wanted to show our toddler the snow, not go into debt so the motel accommodation at The Station seemed to fit the bill.

Upon check-in we saw young people were the room cleaners (we called them backpackers but I guess they could have been from anywhere, working to pay for their winter near the ski fields) My husband.noriced them scavenge a bottle of Kahlua from one room (I'm assuming it was a room people had already checked out of but the Inn Keepers Act requires the proprietor to hold onto guests belongings so this bottle wasn't exactly fair game - this was actually advised to guests via a poster by the door!). The backpackers explained why we discovered on our second day the new supply of paper cups in our room (in lieu of mugs with your tea and coffee facilities) included at least one dirty cup we had discarded the day prior (my daughter's initials on the cup the indisputable evidence!) I also felt our belongings were not quite so secure with a transient group responsible for the care of our room. From what I could tell, their only job while a room is occupied is to replace the milk, tea, coffee, sugar and maybe the towels.

The room itself was disappointing but adequate. The layout of beds to sleep six made it feel like a backpacker dorm and the way the toilet, shower and dual bathroom basins were set out confirmed that these rooms are really designed with groups (not families) in mind. There was one chair in the room and though there was plenty of drawer and cupboard space there was no table. My baby was crawling about with staples sticking out of the corner of one of the beds so I had to do some creative housekeeping of my own to make the bed safe. The heating was so good that it was bad... none of us has ever been that hot at night! We turned it right down at night but didn't dare turn it off as we didn't know what temperature we'd wake up to! The room was quite large and the tv and kettle worked fine. The kettle could only be used on a set of drawers, making it the perfect height for the baby and toddler to attempt suicide by. The room was not exactly child friendly with the mini fridge cables there for the playing, too. The lights could not be dimmed so your options were ridiculously harsh or else work by bathroom light.

I guess you can weigh up the pros and cons from that! The place was cheap, reasonably clean and all linen was provided so if you're only looking to spend one or two cheap nights in Jindabyne I reckon you could live with this accommodation unless you're a princess. I wouldn't return unless all the other affordable options are fully booked, which is possible if you're booking at the last minute.

The Station is ideal for groups of young people who may put facilities ahead of comfort. With a bar, buffet and pizza onsite plus ski hire and transport to the skitube available, The Station is exactly the place backpackers and students should head to. Another reason for families to avoid it, perhaps, but we did not encounter any of the noise or rowdiness that might have been expected. The Station also has apartment accommodation but I can't comment on those facilities.

This review is for Bohemian Euro, Narellan NSW

Bohemian Euro has everything you expect from a German restaurant food- and drink-wise however the ambience just isn't there. Every time I eat there I comment how the dining room feels like the breakfast room in a crappy little country town motor inn! Nonetheless this is the only German restaurant we have in the Camden-Campbelltown area so it's good enough for me!

I am rarely disappointed with anything I order from a German restaurant menu however Bohemian Euro is one place where I've learned to check out the special board (which I almost never do elsewhere!) Look out for the daily soup specials - you will not be disappointed!

Womo hasn't taken off in my area yet but I can see the advantages of such a website. As someone actively searching for reviews, Womo has helped me choose businesses to use however I'm not so sure about the hit-and-miss methods they use when matching reviews to members. Nothing really interests me in the emails they send and when looking for something local, I often come up with something completely useless which makes me suspect the business that pops up is paying a premium to be listed there. For instance, I just entered "Photographer" in "Camden NSW" and the second result was on the Gold Coast in QLD! That's about 900km from Camden! Plus tonight on the "My Womo" page amongst a whole lot of carpet cleaning businesses (none of which is 10km from my home and I have brand new carpet anyway so do not require it to be cleaned) is a review for an escort company. As in prostitutes! They sure pulled that one out of a hat!!!

So as a place to find businesses appropriate for me, they are not doing too well. It's usually easier to just go with Google. Maybe that's because there really aren't a lot of reviewers in my area just yet. As a place to earn points for reviews, it's an easy enough effort but I'm realising it's an uphill battle. My points expire before I actually visit enough places to earn me any rewards which, let's face it, it the reason I'm here! Considering the depth I go into with my reviews I wouldn't mind a courtesy email letting me know I'm about to lose some points, particularly as the Womo website is a little confusing to navigate through. I think that's another reason why I just write my reviews then give up on looking for businesses on here. I log back on every few weeks to see what tickles my fancy but it's still just carpet cleaners whose reviews I wouldn't trust considering the timeframe in which they've been posted and the fact that each reviewer has only reviewed one or two businesses. Oh, and hookers ;)
