When I went to Rosebud Mowers & Chainsaws I knew very little about lawn mowers and whipper snippers but by I walked out feeling like an expert.

The shop is owner-operated by a husband and wife team whose names I can't remember. They seem to know everything there is to know about lawn mowers and grass trimmers and they very patiently answered all my questions in a very friendly, respectful and honest way. Not once did they try to take advance of my lack of knowledge to try to push a sale on me, instead they told me to go home and 'think about it' if I wasn't sure.

Prices seemed a bit high, but there were some good specials too. I did end up going back a couple of days later to buy one of the mowers that were on special.

As a woman it's hard to find a business that sells man-related products without feeling like I'm getting ripped off or spoken to like I'm an idiot, so my experience at Rosebud Mowers & Chainsaws was definitely a positive one. This business is like a breath of fresh air.

I've had lunch at the Rosebud Hotel a few times now and each time I've had nothing but a great and positive customer experience there.

The service is friendly and helpful. The food is great, servings are very generous, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere and setting are comfortable, clean and welcoming. All my meals have always been served within 15 minutes of ordering them.

There is on the street and off-street parking at the rear.

I definitely recommend this one.

Overall I'm dissapointed with Subway in Rosebud.
The staff there always seem cranky, they hardly smile. The last time I was there I ordered some drinks and the girls serving just slammed the cups down on the counter like she was mad at me for making her do extra work.

They are also stingy with the fillings, I always have to ask them to put a bit more on, especially carrots. I think when I pay $7 for a sub they should be a bit more generous with their fillings.

If it wasn't for the mediocre service this Subway restaurant would get a better score from me.

Rosebud Health Store is one of the best I've ever come across.
The staff is knowledgeable and most of the time there is an natural therapist on hand to answer questions.
The range is huge and they even sell a few fresh organic fruit and vegies, cold foods, books, CDs, seeds, nuts, grains and flours as well.
The prices are quite reasonalbe and comparable to other health stores on the Peninsula.
They also support the community by allowing related businesses and organisations to advertise their services and events on the shop's windows and on a bench near the door.
This is one of my favourite businesses around on the Peninsula and I hope they'll be around for many years to come..

Chris is a computing genius. If he says your computer can't be fixed, then it can't. He has helped me over and over again and often, at no or very little cost other than parts when he was able to do the job on the spot.
When I've had to leave my computer or laptop with him, he has always been prompt with getting a quote and tells me honestly if it's worth spending the money or if I'm better off buying a new system. I find him to be extremely trustworthy and honest.

Say hi to his gorgeous puppies if you ever drop in.

While the pizzas are great, the service leaves a lot to be desired. They get my orders wrong almost every second time, so I've got in the habit of checking it before I leave. The staff aren't all that friendly either, they rarely smile and don't make you feel like they appreciate your business at all.

Also, on a couple of occasions when I ordered over the phone, my order wasn't ready when I arrived after the time they told me that it would be ready. One of those times they hadn't even started making it... somehow my order had been overlooked.

Prices are comparable to other pizza places in the area.

This is one cafe I'll never go back to or recommend to anyone.

I once ordered a large cookie which she proceeded to pull out of the cookie jar with her bare hands. When I said I didn't want the cookie because she had touched it she rolled her eyes and couldn't understand why. I explained that I didn't know if her hands were clean and that just before she served me she had been outside smoking a cigarette and hadn't washed her hands when before handling the cookie. She said that she doesn't need to wash her hand and that they use hand sanitiser. I pointed out that I hadn't seen her put any on. She said that her hands were clean and that I was over reacting. I told her that I didn't think I was and that every other eatery uses hygienic food handling practices. She then told me that if I didn't like the way she does things that I could leave. So I did and when I returned home I called the local Shire to file a complaint. This was many months ago and I never heard back from the Shire. The cafe is still there and I don't know if she was ever spoken to by anyone. If you go there, do yourself a favour and keep an eye on how the food is handled when it is served to you.

I can't rave enough about this business. My son attends the Rosebud location several times a week to learn and practice Wing-Chun. He has been going there for about a year now and he has progressed in leaps and bounds... progressing to his third sash a couple of months ago.
Master Joe Sayah and his staff have helped transform my son from a shy, insecure 14 year old and into a confident and more sociable young man with a totally different outlook on life.
The atmosphere is always very relaxed, friendly and fun. Students always seem to be having a great time.
They offer a free trial class.

Best fish and chips I've ever had, every time!
Prices are very competitive, very friendly staff. Premises are always clean.
They take phone orders so you can order ahead and just go in to pick up. I recommend this at peak hours because the place is usually packed and you could be waiting there for up to 20 minutes to get your order (you'll understand why once you try their food).
I place my orders by phone and drive 15 minutes all the way from Rosebud West to pick it up simply because I won't get my fish and chips from any other place on the Peninsula.

Very friendly service. I work as a personal carer and go there often with my clients. They and I are always treated very well by the wonderful staff. The food and coffee are great and prices are comparable to any other cafe in the area eg. Small late and 2 scones with jam and cream will set you back only $8.
It's worth going there just for the wonderful decor and warm atmosphere.
Eat inside or outside, in fact you don't even have to go inside to be served as they have a serving window for outside customers.
My favourite Cafe on the Peninsula.
