The best place in Market Square. While not fancy dining, it's a nice bustling place to get some great food! The value is excellent - the dishes are big and filling, so share with a friend or take some home for lunch the next day. The service has never been rude, but some Aussies I've taken there have got unfairly annoyed by the servers having better Chinese language skills than English. If you do have any problems though, everything on the menu is numbered. They're open late, so they're a great last-minute place to go to when everywhere else in Brissy is closed. They're usually still crowded late at night, but keep things running fast. If some of the food looks unfamiliar or scary to you, you can't go wrong with most of their chef's specials on the front of the menu. Roti Canai, Dry Curry Mee and Nasi Lemak are personal favorites, as well as their soft-shell crab and salt+pepper quail entrees. Be sure to try their drinks too - the Hong Kong style coffee/tea mix is wonderful (and you can ask them to leave out the herbal jelly if that's not your thing). Just stop at the ATM before you go in, cause they don't take EFTPOS.

We rented a home from Masters and they were consistently poor about responding to requests for service. Our oven stopped working, but was never fixed. A leak in the ceiling took almost a year to get fixed. Our pool had a leak in the lining, so it needed constant topping up with water if it was to be kept clean with the pump. Masters would send someone "to look at it" but not fix it - and would keep on sending us bills for excess water usage in the meantime! We moved out when the owner wanted to reclaim the house to do renovations. One of these renovations seemed to be replacing the old carpets (very light-colored ones, not a smart move for student accommodation, since they already looked rather well-worn when we first moved in). They even sent someone to the house to give a quote on a new carpet while we were still there. But then they told us we still had to pay for getting the old icky carpets professionally steam-cleaned.
