Used La Grillade for an industry dinner for about 20 of us. They organized a special set menu for us with a good selection of foods. Very friendly and efficient service. My only negative comment (which is only relevant for big parties) is that they charge in full for any cancellations (we had 1 @ $69) and also add 10% service charge across the whole bill - on the night this added up to close to $250, which was somewhat over the top.

Selected La Botte Doro for a Monday night dinner with an interstate client - was motivated due to it being in the `Gold` section of the Entertainment Book. Having prepared by reading some of the reviews, I was not expecting too much; I tend to take negative reviews with a pinch of salt (excuse the pun) as one often finds that they outweigh positives. So, I ended up being pleasantly surprised as it was a lovely night out. We ate whitebait fritters (somewhat bland), scampi (excellent), spitchcock (very tasty) and a pizza (also very good) plus shared a bottle of WA Cab Merlot that was very good and decent value for money. We were served by very friendly and efficient wait staff. As I tend to prefer trying new places, I am unlikely to be back in a hurry; however I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Recently enjoyed an early Monday night business dinner and was very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly, welcoming staff, although one staff member exuded some 'tude (which we ignored). Both the Arancini and Baccala Frito (Fried salt cod balls) starters were excellent. The mains of eggplant parmigana and veal were also top class. A reasonably-priced Shiraz from the interesting wine menu complemented the ocassion. Highly recommended - I will go back.

A family meal on a Saturday night. We enjoyed a top class meal and experienced friendly and welcoming service. BYO allowed. Will definitely visit again - highly recommended.

A decent local watering-hole that is perfect for a quick drink on a Friday evening - they even walk around offering complimentary mini-pies, cheese, etc. Usually full of locals, but it is a friendly and welcoming. The resturant section offers reasonable food - steaks, fish & chips, etc.

Cute little cafe in an area of Ultimo that is fairly under-serviced in terms of decent cafes. Have used the outside area for a number of informal business meetings. The staff are always friendly and the coffee is good.

A very friendly local Indian restaurant. Great for a midweek lunch or weekend breakfast. Easy to find and offering an airy, open atmosphere. Welcoming staff. BYO available.

A great venue for authentic, quality Chinese food. No bland, gloopy sauces here. Attentive, friendly service and a reasonable wine list. Highly recommended. The Shantung chicken is our favourite. Book to avoid disappointment.

Enjoyed a mid-week lunch here recently with a couple of friends on a sunny Sydney day. The food was excellent and very generous for some dishes, with the Salmon baguette enough for 2. Good coffee and friendly service topped off a very pleasant meal.
