The decor is average looking and gives the restaurant a casual feel to it. The staff were all friendly and gave us lots of smiles.

I wasn't sure if the food would be too spicy but it was actually quite tasty without being too hot. Everything tasted good and was served hot. The only downside was that our meals were brought out about 10 minutes apart from each other so my partner was a fair way through his before I started.

Very generous portions - the dishes were quite large and neither myself or my partner could get through them.

The Roxburgh Park Hotel Bistro is basically a large buffet/smorgasbord where you pay $25 and can then eat as much as you want. There were a large variety of dishes to choose from: chinese stir-fry, roast meat and vegetables, pasta, pizza, seafood, salads, and desserts.

The foods were hot and replaced quite promptly when they would run out. There was nothing wrong with the foods but they were fairly ordinary - like I felt that we could probably prepare the same standard of food at home.

I probably wouldn't eat here again from the buffet menu but if they offered the usual bistro meals in an order and have the meal brought out to you style, then I would return.

I hadn't been to the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club for a couple of years and was really impressed with the renovations and improvements that they have made to the decor. It is a much lighter atmosphere. You can still enjoy views of the grassed oval area while dining.

The meals were reasonably priced and the menu has improved to include some nicer meals, not just your usual pub favourites. I had a steak which was a little overcooked but still tasted great. The chips were well cooked and delicious too. Other people on my table enjoyed the chicken parmigiana, salmon, and salt and pepper calamari.

Meals were brought out within 25 minutes. Our table was still not cleared when we left approx 20 minutes after finishing our meals.

My steak was a little bit overcooked but still tasted ok, probably not worth $30 though. The chicken parmigiana was good and so was the lasagna although it was a little bit oily.

They were busy when I ate here and it took a long time for our meals to be served. Not all meals for our table were brought out at the same time - two of the meals came out close to 10 minutes later.

Overall food quality was good but service was a let down - maybe if they had more staff working food could be prepared and served quicker, and empty glasses and dishes could be cleared from tables as the meals are finished.

This review is for PO Boyz, Bendigo VIC

PO Boyz is a sandwich shop located within the Bendigo Hargreaves Mall, that makes not only sandwiches but rolls, wraps, subs and salads. They also do breakfasts but I haven't ordered anything from their breakfast menu. I have had a chicken wrap from here before and also a steak sandwich. On each occasion the food was prepared freshly while I waited. The bread was lovely and soft and the steak sandwich was very filling although it probably had a little bit too much onion for my liking. The menu offers both simple sandwich filling combinations as well as some fancier options. It is a good place for healthier takeaway food in the mall.

This online business allows you to enter the dates that you require a car rental for and to select the type of car that you want to hire all over Australia. You can then compare all of the main car rental companies prices for the information that you have entered. I have used compared these prices to the actual car hire companies' websites and cannot find prices cheaper than the ones on offer from Vroom Vroom Vroom.

You can make the booking request online and they forward the information onto the car hire company that you have chosen to go with. I have used them twice to actually make bookings and both times when I went to the car hire booths at the airport everything was fine and I was able to get the cars I had requested.

Highly recommend using this website to find the best price possible for your next car hire.

This review is for Bee Yuan Noodles & Chinese Takeaway, Kangaroo Flat VIC

verified email - 23 Oct 2012

I've driven past Bee Yuan a few times and always thought that I should try it out but never actually had until a few weeks ago.

Bee Yuan sell takeaway noodle packs and Chinese food packs in all the usual menu choices for an Asian noodle takeaway, displayed on their menu with accompanying photographs.

The food was cooked while I waited and the person who served me was very polite although not very talkative.

The noodles were good, but certainly nothing exceptional. I believe the meal prices are reasonable considering the average quality of the food. The meat and vegetables tasted fresh.

They do have a few tables and chairs inside for dining but because it is such a small shop it is probably better to order takeaway.

I was happy with my meal and would probably purchase food from them again if I was shopping nearby. I wouldn't go out of my way to order food from them though as I have other noodle places that I prefer to this one.

This review is for Flynns Wines, Heathcote VIC

I dined in Flynn's Wines Heathcotean Bistro and had a lovely experience. The bistro area has a real country/rustic type of feel to it and the tables were set out quite elegantly.

The owners were so friendly seated us outside in their little courtyard area and happily talked to us about their wines and the most appropriate selections for each menu item.

While the menu was extremely limited, we were happy with the menu options and able to choose something to enjoy for our lunch. The bruschetta was superb as was the slow cooked lamb, and they had appropriate wine suggestions for each dish on the menu.

Overall a lovely day out with great food and pleasant service.

Worldwide Holidays is an Australian website that allows you to book accommodation both in Australia and Internationally. Their website is easy to use and search for different accommodation options at your chosen holiday destination. I have booked accommodation with them twice beforehand and currently have an accommodation layby with them. It is actually this layby feature that has appealed to me the most as it enables you to be able to pay off your accommodation weekly or monthly over a few month period without any additional fees. I have found this especially useful when booking overseas accommodation as they make the booking on your behalf and forward all of your details to your chosen hotel, and will then forward a copy of the hotel's booking details to your email.

I have never had a problem in booking my accommodation this way. You just turn up to the hotel and check in - the payment is taken care of.

Make sure that you double check with your chosen hotel's website prices as they aren't always the cheapest on worldwide holidays website.

This review is for Frankie O's Flower Emporium, Bendigo VIC

verified email - 20 Oct 2012

I picked up a bouquet of flowers from Frankie O's Flower Emporium during the week. They had quite a decent range of flowers available - not just roses and fancy flowers but some lovely native flowers also. I ended up going with a simple but elegant lily bouquet.

The lady who owns the store, Frankie, was very helpful in assisting me to choose which flowers to include in the bouquet and colours of the paper and ribbon. Very friendly service and the prices were comparable to other florists.

Check out their facebook page as they regularly put up daily deals and specials.

They did also have a selection of candles, hand creams, and novelty wheat filled teddy bears & slippers (to heat up).
