Well, the reviews are true! Bruno is a true professional and a dying breed. I went in with a very vague idea about what I wanted (a change), and I gave a lot of conflicting information in the consultation process. However, Bruno didn't rush through it at all. We sat down, had a lengthy chat, and he was able to 'see' what would suit me and gently tailored the look until I was happy and we got stuck right into it. By the end of this process, somehow I had complete faith and trust that Bruno knew what I wanted and had the skill to pull it off. The point of difference really is, that he's not the kind of hairdresser who will just look at a photo you bring in and replicate it. He will take into account your personality, your ideas, your face shape, your hair texture, your coloring, and custom tailor a cut to suit you. So many hairdressers CLAIM to do this, so many DONT. But Bruno does - he's one of the good guys. I ended up having a complete style cut makeover and some baliage foils done. I was initially nervous about getting a fringe again as so many hairdressers had stuffed them up in the past, but Bruno knew exactly what to do and I just LOVE my new look. I've never received so many compliments after having my hair done. I will never go anywhere else Also, prices are sooooo reasonable! I paid about $150 for everything including a purple shampoo to keep my color from bronzing - the same thing at other places I've been could easily charge up to double

Approximate cost: $150

Everyone thinks they know the best pizza place, but usually it's just a local dig that doesn't suck - i.e. easy to access, hard to complain. But this place does actually have seriously good pizza, and a hardworking family team behind it all. There's a reason why none of the chain pizza stores exist near-by - this is it!

These guys are fantastic! I was shopping around for a Vet when we got our new puppy, and some quoted me up to $140 for first vaccination including a consult fee. These guys were under $80, and they thew in a puppy pack! It included food, a toy, a lead, some interesting pamphlets and an optional membership which includes check ups, discount food etc. They also gave her a worming and de-flea tablet at no extra charge. We're yet to attend the puppy classes, but at $88 for four classes, it looks like good value. The staff also work as a team, so you don't have to keep explaining yourself when you meet new people. Very impressed, happy to reccomend

This review is for 13 CABS, Melbourne VIC

I've had so many mixed experiences using 13 CABS, it's really hard to give an overview. I haven't had any exceptional drivers in the past 12 months, and I get frustrated when occasionally driver's don't seem to understand what the major roads in Melbourne are. For example, I once called a cab for a fare from Oakleigh to St Kilda, and when I asked the driver to go up Dandenong Rd he asked me how to get there whilst we were on Warrigal. However, it must be a tough job and I'm sure that the customers vary in quality just as much as the drivers do. Considering it's a private service, and there are few alternatives (especially in the middle of the night), I at least feel grateful that I feel safe using them and don't have too much trouble getting one if I plan ahead

This review is for RealEstate.com.au, Sydney NSW

Realestate.com.au is easily the best place to search for property, as the range and volume saves a lot of time and cuts down the need to do the same search on multiple sites. The map-view search is a particularly fantastic way to hone in on a particular area if you have a good idea about where you want to go, which I feel is very under utilized.
I feel that real estate agents don't really capitalize on the inquiry system that is provided - often, if you leave your details you won't get a call back, but it's easy enough to take the initiative and pick up the phone instead. I should add that this is more true for rentals than sales. The phone app is also really user friendly!

I've come here twice, and wasn't impressed either time. The first time, I ordered the breakfast porridge and it was inedible - I sent it back. It had the texture of gruel and had absolutely no flavor. I was disappointed but didn't take it badly - every place has the occasional slip up, right? Anyway, my partner enjoyed his meal and they were very nice about not charging me, so I decided to try again. The second time was the weekend just past, and we had our new puppy with us. She got loads of attention and we were in a good mood.... But when my breakfast came out, I realized that we'd made a mistake by coming back again. The eggs were very overcooked (dry, rubbery, tasteless), and the mushrooms that I'd ordered as a side extra were incredibly under-done and still had that earthy 'dirt' taste that you get when they're not cooked enough. The 'mushrooms' were actually just one large mushroom cut in half, so it would have needed loads more cooking than the usual. So, for the second time zero flavor, no moisture, and this time I asked the waitress to take my meal back while my partner was still eating. She seemed a bit confused about what I was asking her to do but was nice about it. My partner ordered the schnitzel and enjoyed it. He joked that I must be really bad at ordering off the menu, but I don't see the point in going out and paying for a meal when it's not nearly as good as anything I can cook at home. When I went to pay for my partners meal and our coffees, I got a bit of attitude about sending the food back. The guy behind the counter blamed me for leaving (I went to buy our puppy a toy while we were waiting) and suggested that I didn't like the meal because it would of been cold, and that it was my fault. I told him that the temperature was just fine, that the meal just wasn't cooked well. I won't be going back

I ordered from these guys through Menu Log and there was a technical error. I was sent a confirmation text (took a bit longer than usual), so an hour and a half later when I hadn't recieved anything I called the store. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the service. At first, they said there was no outstanding order for my address, but instead of writing me off I was put onto a supervisor right away. He took some time to investigate what went wrong and found that although the store recieved an email, my order wasn't placed on their system. Hey, it happens sometimes. But the supervisor was really keen to make things right, and as the kitchen was already closed and it was late, he told me he was giving me a $50 credit, even though my order was only $20.
I order from here a lot because the pizzas are grouse and the delivery menu is diverse - burgers, crepes, ribs, salads....
After tonight I'll definitely come back. Just goes to show that when you are genuinely invested in good customer service, a hiccough becomes another opportunity to impress - its all too rare these days

This review is for Vanilla Lounge And Cakes, Oakleigh VIC

Vanilla is a place to be seen. If you want to go out and soak up some atmosphere, people watch or lounge around for extended periods this would certainly be a place to come - it's ALWAYS busy. But there's a downside to this too. Whilst the staff are incredibly professional and work hard, it's rare to find exceptional service. Everything seems focused on keeping up and getting things done on time. The food is nice, but not great value for money - you can easily go a few doors up for a good quality, lower priced meal. The coffees aren't exceptional, but they're certainly up to scratch. If you're scouting for a place to eat as a foodie, skip vanilla and try the cakes at Dreams or Nikos, or the food at Orexi, Chez Maria's or the place with no name. But if you're catching up with someone and want it to be a long, leisurely affair, or you want to kill some time then Vanilla is a good choice

This review is for The Lost Dogs Home, North Melbourne VIC

We didn't actually end up leaving with a dog as there wasn't one suitable for our apartment on the day we went. However, I was very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the staff. They took the time to explain each dogs' requirements to us - they were honest about what each dog required in an owner, and tactfully pointed out where our suitability didn't match up. They also were able to recommend what types of dogs would best suit us, how best to keep an eye out and secure our future dream dog when they became available at the shelter. These guys are responsible, clearly care about what they're doing and are friendly and professional. I wish pet shops were like this!

I used to come here a lot for the french toast before they refined the menu - it would be absolutely soaking in blueberry compote, and I mean 'have a little toast with your blueberries' kind of thing. I went again last Sunday for a hangover breakfast and found it a busy and rushed, with the blueberries more of a garnish than a feature to the dish this time. Shame. I didn't feel like I could linger and enjoy the company I was with, as they were trying to turn over tables as quickly as possible. Still AMAZING food, with a fabulous menu selection, but this place is a victim of its own success
