We often go here for lunch - lots of tables, fast service and tasty food, with the kind of Aussie Chinese (lack of) atmosphere you might expect. There's quite a few lunch specials to choose between from $8-$12. Recommend the honey chicken. Wonderful Chinese tea too.

A nicely laid out cafe with an interesting menu. Unfortunately, the service seemed unfriendly when we stopped for lunch. The prices are at the upper end of reasonable. About $12 for toasted turkish breads; $5 for bottled (localish) apple juice. It's licenced, if you want a drink.

I wish more wineries were this good and had Silkwood's reasonable prices. Love their wine - about $15 a bottle to take away or drink with lunch. We had some great scallops ($8) followed by chicken florentine (about $25) and pasta. Desserts were good, but not as great as the rest of the meal. Wonderful view of the dam and friendly service.

Willoughby Park / Boston Brewery is close to Denmark town centre, and does lunch all week. We were there on a weekday and it was quiet, but I'm sure it gets very full. Too many flies outside, and a shed atmosphere inside. Friendly staff. An interesting menu of entrees and pizza; superb chips, although unfortunately both our pizza and wontons were overdone. Had a very good beer; you can only enjoy these on tap at the moment, as they don't (yet) bottle. It's counter service, a casual and passable place for lunch.

Had breakfast here; standard breakfast menu, with lots of varieties of bacon and eggs - or the option of salmon. No pancakes. My bacon and egg muffin was fine; strangely garnished with a slice of orange and lettuce. Coffee was okay. Table was a plastic outdoor setting, and seemed old. Whole place feels a little cobwebby. They offer loose leaf tea, which counts in their favour - though this is $5 for a pot for one.

Michael came to fix a problem I had with a light. He contacted me the day before to shift the time by two hours, and then arrived just when he said. He got the job done quickly and well. His call out fee is $130, as of Nov 2012.

I have gone back a number of times to have my hair cut - its only about $15 and I've been happy with the cut. The European husband and wife hairdressers are friendly. Recommended for gents, at least; not sure for women.

Catalano's is noisy and busy; it is not a quiet dining experience and you had better have a booking. Its food is very good, with a conventional Perth Italian offering of pastas and mains.

I've given up on Fishpond. Delivery always takes more than the advertised time. The discounted prices they show are inflated in the first place. Book Depository is cheaper and quicker for books.
Ubank offers a good interest rate on savings account. You have to call them to move large amounts of money; they advertise as being open 24 hours, but I was waiting a long time on hold when I called in the evening. The customer rep I got was helpful and went out of his way to make a transaction happen which was causing problems.
