Long Island is a beautiful setting in the Whitsundays. It isnt as busy and populated as Hamilton Island so its easier to relax not to mention find some space on the beach! We went in early December and the weather was amazing and the resort wasn't too full. The all you can eat buffets at every meal were amazing. The rooms aren't super fancy but they are clean and simple.

Barbara is a fantastic celebrant. She was the celebrant at my wedding as was wonderful She has a book full of ideas for the ceremony, allowing you to choose and plan the whole ceremony. She is also very considerate asking what colours she should wear so she doesn't clash with the bridesmaid etc. A wonderful lady.

Gerry Herft was a fantastic photographer at our wedding. He knows just how to position everyone to get amazing shots and even suggest good locations based on where your wedding and reception are being held. Very professional and takes great photos!!

I had my wedding here and also went back a year later and stayed the night. The service is fantastic - as a wedding venue the outside clear marquee was amazing and the staff were fantastic - especially attentive to the wedding party. A fantastic place to have your wedding!!

A great handy location on the hwy, staff are friendly and the fish and chips are good. Their burgers with the lot are good also. Great location if your family can't decide on one kind of takeaway as it is surrounded by other choices.

Gina does a wonderful job preparing your wedding flowers. She sits down with you and discusses what you want and even goes out of her way to source flowers in the colours you want.

Dr Rod hot rod hire have fantastic cars for hire. I had 2 for my wedding - a blue and a purple. They are really great looking cars and were a real talking point at my wedding. They are great fun to ride in and look fantastic in your photos!

Pakenham bookshop has a good range of books. The children's book section can be a little hard to look through as there are a lot of titles in a small area. However the service is great and the staff are always happy to help. Books not on the shelf (of shelf damaged) are happily ordered in for you.

This toy kingdom is pretty large and has a good range of toys and some nursery items as well. They often have fantastic sales. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a very busy post office and during peak times the line can be out the door. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a good range of gifts available to tempt you as you wait.
