This clinic is only 2 months old. All new facilities, consists of 6 big consulting rooms, a 2 bed treatment room (very well equipped) and Pathology collection centre.

This Bulk Bill clinic is much better than most full copayment clinics we have used.

The doctors are good. The staff are savvy. The nurses are very good. They understand EPC (Extended Primary Care) for those with chronic diseases. The practice is fully computerised.

Appointments available but not essential at this stage. Open extended hours on 7 days, with hours extending as they take on more doctors. Understand they have also just taken on a new female doctor.

Approximate cost: $Bulk bill everything

This review is for Bayside Pizza, Edithvale VIC

I spent my 20s around Carlton before there were any Porchetta franchises and when Italians down Lygon St ran pizza shops with pride and individual flair and skill.

Now I'm in my 50s and have finally found such a pizza parlour again, with ambience and prices reminiscent of my youth.

Run by a dedicated and skilled Italian pizza maker, the ham melts in your mouth, the prawns are plump and tasty, and the crust is so thin and crispy. All the ingredients are fresh - the veges even still have texture. The cooking balance is perfect - neither soggy nor cindery.

We walked past before opening time and tried the door which was locked. The owner was hard at work making bases but saw us and let us in to order a takeaway.

They also have a bistro which we haven't used yet, and do steak and fish meals.

We bought an ex-demo functional trainer from Sportsmart - a big complex heavy piece of equipment. It had to be expertly disassembled, transported and reassembled.

Sportsmart organised Jon Wyatt of GYMBiz to do this work. We were nervous at first due to potential damage to new house or the equipment, but Jon and his assistant soon put us at ease.

They turned up when they were meant to, having worked from early morning at Sportsmart to disassemble the trainer.

They then proceeded to reassemble and test the equipment faster than we could imagine. It was like watching 2 guys solving a Rubik's cube puzzle in seconds.

If you need your gym equipment expertly moved, don't worry about them being based in Geelong either. This job was pickup from Moorabbin and take to Edithvale - in the morning. And this service was cheaper, friendlier and more competent than a recent couch delivery we had.

While we only used the delivery and reassembly service, I understand from the GYMBiz website that they specialise in repairs and servicing of home and corporate fitness equipment including regular periodical maintenance and reporting on commercial gym facilities. We wouldn't look anywhere else in future when we need our fitness equipment serviced.

See my review of Kelly Crete. David of BMJ did an excellent job of working with Steve of Kelly Crete to lay the slab for our large new shed. These brothers are excellent to work with. They don't have web presence because they don't have to advertise - they get their jobs by work of mouth

Organised preparation of site and concrete slab for new shed. These concreters don't advertise - they are busy, good, quick, friendly, cheap and get referrals by word of mouth and from construction companies such as that which is about to erect our shed. They have a great trade network e.g. demolition. There are 2 brothers with separate businesses. For Kelly Crete contact Steve at 0422 398 895 (fax 03 5995 1053). Steve also does slate, industrial, faux brick and paving. Steve's brother David has BMJ Exposed Concrete and also provides free quotes on 0411 043 176. David also does driveways, slab extensions, garages, pergolas etc. If we ever need any of these services again, Steve and David will be on the top of our list.

This review is for Electricity Bill (aka Tesla) , Sherwood QLD

Work done -
Downstairs (queenslander): Replaced 2 batten holders and replaced fluorescent light fitting over car parking area.
Upstairs: replaced batten holders in WIR and bathroom.

Quality - Provided certificate of test and connection after very careful and thorough job completion including extensive testing for safety.

Service - Came out the day after we called as promised. Very careful with ladders etc in newly painted property. James explained what was going on every step of the job. Prompt tax invoice requested and received by email. Very prompt and friendly service.

Value - We don't know the market, but this was good value for us as we were rushing to fix up a rental property. Bill was recommended by the estate agent and we have used him before for installing ceiling fans, where he was the lowest quote.

I have every confidence in recommending Electricity Bill (aka Tesla) for any electrical work around Brisbane and suburbs.

We were fixing up an ex-rental queenslander replica for sale after careless tenants left dents and holes in walls, and other damage inside and out. Feeling a need to get a second quote we sought advice from Dulux in Indooroopilly. Thankfully they recommended Brad from iPaint to provide a quote.

Quality - We knew we were onto a good thing when Brad came the next day, quoted in writing that night, specifying every aspect of the job very professionally including surfaces to be painted, preparation to be completed, coats to be applied, time to complete project, cost and payment schedules, warranty, acceptance and references. From the moment we accepted the quote this quality company delivered exactly what they promised and more. At the open for inspections, everyone is telling the agent what a good paint job it is, and we have already had good offers for the property. This is partially because Brad wasn't satisfied with our instructions to repaint the property in the original colours, which he felt dated the property, and recommended we update to more modern colours.

Value - It turned out that iPaint are so efficient that we were able to paint the whole wooden house inside and out excluding the side walls.

This is because iPaint was roughly half the cost for the scope compared to other quotes. This is due to efficient use of resources across multiple projects, modern techniques such as spraying ceilings instead of rolling, and a talented and dedicated work team.

Service - We were in Brisbane for less than a month, and wanted the work done by June 30. Brad was able to start on the following Monday, spent 3 days doing the inside and 2 days on the outside, being out by Friday. Brad kept us informed so that we were able to work around the house on other chores while the painting was going on.

This timing is even more impressive when you know that the team took off all the fittings - exhaust fans, light fittings, switches to avoid spatter - and cleaned them like new before replacing them after the paint job.

The property was left almost spotless after the job was completed. A couple of little things were forgotten but Brad rectified these immediately on request.

After the bill was paid, Brad even came back to paint the front coachlight at no extra cost after I asked him for the external colour to match.

This was a rare experience for us of a very customer-focussed small business in Qld and we have no hesitation in recommending iPaint to anyone in Brisbane needing a painter.

Ate lunch here today. The Tue-Thu lunchtime specials are brilliant - a generous plate of spit chicken, lamb, grilled fish or calamari with salad, grilled veg or chips (recommend the salad - diverse & fresh).

The service is like the food - effective, cheerful and non-pretentious. Everyone is friendly and efficient. The chef even came out to make sure we were happy with everything.

Maybe it gets busier at dinner, and Tuesday to Thursday seem to be the quieter nights. We'll be trying out one of the banquets or the seafood mixed grill next. The full menu is on their website.

I wanted to get glasses I could use for both long and short vision without getting bifocals. Having found out about multifocal glasses from SpecSavers, I baulked at the asking price. As a Medibank Private basic extras subscriber, I shopped around and found Optical Superstore at Waverley Gardens. Amazingly they were able to make multifocals for me within the $200 annual limit, over $100 better than anywhere else quoted. This included all the usual extras like solid case. The opthamologist was very impressed with the quality of my vision on the eye chart with these glasses.

This review is for Allvans Caravan Repairs, Narre Warren VIC

Nilton at AllVans took the hassle out of dealing with the insurance company over caravan hail damage, did an excellent job on repairs including matching the finish on materials. Result - better than before the storm.

Also referred our neighbour who had a similar problem. AllVans found extensive internal frame rot and fixed it properly but cheaply. A really good work team.

Tomorrow we are taking our van there for electrical upgrade and service. We know it will be better and cheaper than more well-known Melbourne caravan service providers.
