This review is for Stevens Professional Hair Dressing, Mitcham SA

Stevens is a very professional hair care service, and they offer a large number of cuts and treatments. Being male, I only go for the standard hair cut, and although it's relatively pricey (~$30 per cut), it's good value for money. Shea, my hairdresser, often spends half an hour or more making sure every strand is where it should be, and a wide variety of drinks are available should you get a thirst during the cut.

This review is for Kefi Greek Cuisine, Glenelg North SA

I agree with Tanny - the food is absolutely delicious and the serving sizes are massive. We went for the full dining experience, drinks, entree, mains, but the mains are so large that the entrees aren't necessary (albeit very tasty). Their skewers are absolutely divine and stand out in my opinion. I'm not sure what vegetarian options they have, but if you're a carnivore, then Kefi is a must!

This review is for Maya Masala Indian Restaurant & Take Away, Adelaide SA

verified email - 03 Nov 2009

Located in the 'Indian' district off Gouger Street, Maya prepares some wonderful (if a bit too spicy for my palate), authentic cuisine. Their staff is quite friendly, and although service is a bit slow, the food makes up for it. From my experience, they excel in vegetarian cuisine, doing a mean Saag Paneer, and their naans are also very nice. Reasonably priced, a good dining experience.

This review is for Lenzerheide Restaurant, Hawthorn SA

Lenzerheide is known for it's 'Wow' factor, one of Adelaides eminent dining locations. They have won multiple awards for their service and cuisine, and it's easy to see why. Although their serving sizes are a bit on the small side (which is often the case in excellent restaurants), the meals are always first class, and the service is even better (four people at once serving mains, sides, salt and pepper etc.) The prices are quite expensive, but for ~$25 per main, it's well worth it.

This review is for The Watch Doctor, Adelaide SA

verified email - 02 Nov 2009

The Watch Doctor does stock a small range of watches in store, but they specialise in repairs. I took my Polar heart rate monitor to several jewelers and they were unable to replace the battery - The Watch Doctor did it in under 5 minutes, with a guarantee, and only charged $10 (which is an awful lot cheaper than having to send the watch via mail back to Polar!). The owner is a nice bloke, and he gets the job done.

This review is for The Ginger Tree, Adelaide SA

verified email - 02 Nov 2009

The Ginger Tree is a Chinese-style food stall in City Cross, which is rather colourful. They don't cook the food for you on the spot, instead it's stored in woks at the front for the customers perusal. Unfortunately the serve sizing is rather small for the money you pay, and there's no guarantee for the quality of food (sometimes it's rather dry as it's been sitting there for a while). If you're eating lunch at 'lunch' time, then it can taste quite nice, but swing past at 2pm for a late lunch and the quality drops dramatically.

This review is for Five Star Yiros & Spuds, Cheltenham SA

verified email - 02 Nov 2009

Five Star Yiros is close to an accurate name - they produce tasty yiroses but I would still put them in the four star category :D. Very reasonably priced, and if you ask for extra garlic sauce they really give you extra, resulting in quite the messy meal. As is often the case with these shops, they offer meal deals (yiros + coke), reducing the overall cost if you fancy a full meal instead of a single yiros. Quality is good, value is good, service is good. Would visit again.

This review is for Cocolat, Adelaide SA

verified email - 02 Nov 2009

Cocolat both sells chocolate, and serves chocolate drinks on site. I have visited the place several times, and always go back for their delicious hot drinks as they are often extremely rich and flavourful. Their chocolate is always smooth, and if you feel like a little something different, try it with chilli as the Mayan's historically did. If you're a chocoholic, this place is a must!

This review is for Taj Tandoor Indian Restaurant, Adelaide SA

verified email - 02 Nov 2009

Taj Tandoor has a wonderful spread of authentic and Western-adapted cuisine. They don't hold back on the heat (if you like your food really spicy, then this is the place for you!), and just about everything I've eaten there has been of very good quality. The service can be rather slow (poor coordination between waiting staff), but that could have been a one off, so I wouldn't judge them based solely on that. Reasonably priced considering the Rundle Street location, would visit again.

This review is for Forbes Fish Shop, South Plympton SA

verified email - 02 Nov 2009

Forbes fish shop has changed management several times over the last few years, and none have yet to find the recipe for success. The prices are on the high end, and the quality is unfortunately on the low end. Chips are often soggy and fish overcooked. Their burgers are rather nice though, and the staff will often throw in extra (i.e. 4 potato fritters when you ask for 3).
