Some of the students here are outstanding and are extremely motivated to improve. In competitions the academy always performs very well and have a very good reputation.
Went here with quite a large group of friends and it was quite a lovely meal. Food was pretty good, though in my opinion not spectacular (I am not accustomed to this kind of cuisine) but it was an enjoyable evening.
I come from a design perspective so the thing that immediately jumped out to me was the unconventional choice of decor - an appreciated change compared to the usual asian fluff. Pretty sleek, not overstated and with clear views to the chefs cooking (favourite one to watch was the noodle maker), this restaurant makes for quite a unique dining experience. The food was delicious and reasonably priced too.
A very popular restaurant in Chinatown and rightly-so. The food is extremely satisfying and tasty, it comes pretty quickly too. The prices are extremely low too - ate with a few friends for a total of less than $50! Highly recommended.
A great little restaurant for a lovely dinner. The dishes are great and the waiters suggest really delicious ones (that aren't overly expensive too); staff are friendly, particularly the owner!
I have bought a few pairs of pointe shoes here, though I think I have been fitted by more experienced staff elsewhere (I am quite picky, but so are my feet). Their elasticised ribbons are the best (same as any other Bloch store) and make a huge difference; there's a huge range of dance stock and the staff are friendly.
I have bought many a pair of pointe shoes here - the staff are really good at fitting them and have been very helpful for my rather difficult feet. They have a reasonable range of shoes, though sometimes they go out of stock. I personally prefer being fitted in this shop because some of the staff at Bloch don't really seem to know what they are doing; however, Bloch has a wider range of dance wear to choose from (i.e. leotards).
Enjoyed a slice of their chocolate brulee cake last weekend - super rich and delicious, though the tiniest slice would suffice.
I'm currently a student here and it's great. Easy to get to by public transport (a short walk from Redfern Station), not impossible to park for if you drive by car. The staff in our faculty are great and are responsive to student feedback. The food around the university is superb and if I have some free time some friends and I chill in Victoria Park nearby. It's also close to many cheap eats in Newtown that won't disappoint.
Favourite drink here is the thingamabob cider brewed with apples and cinnamon. Great decor with elephants drawn on the walls. A fun place to hang out with friends and chat over a few drinks.
