I love purchasing their products. They have a great range of toiletries and cosmetics. They staff is always helpful, however CBD priceline stores seems to be a bit on the pricier side.

This review is for Lindt Chocolate Cafe, Melbourne VIC

Well, Lindt Chocolat Cafe is a bit on the expensive side, but it is every single cent worth it. Lindt is very famous in the country I was born in, and being a chocolate lover anyway, I decided to try one of their chocolate orange cheesecakes.
It took a little while to get served, but the taste of the cake compensated every minute. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Approximate cost: $approx. 15 AUD

This review is for Melbourne Zoo, Parkville VIC

I went to Melbourne Zoo once last year. I love animals, so I am always concerned about the treatment of the animals. Well, I can say this place looks clean and very well organized.

I enjoyed our visit. We got lucky as we had a good view to experience the lion feeding, which was quite exciting. Also the new monkey enclosure seems to be a fantastic playground for the animals. Personally I found the most interesting part to be the gorillas.
Unfortunately the entry fee is a bit expensive, but it is alright. I'd definitely recommend the zoo to every Melbourne visitor.

This review is for IMAX Theatre, Carlton VIC

verified email - 01 Jun 2012

I went to IMAX more than a year ago and would do it again if there was a movie I am really interested in. I purchased a combination ticket for IMAX and Melbourne Museum which cost about 22$ and it was well worth it. I also had some chocolate, which was expensive, but the staff was friendly.

I saw the Hubble 3D movie about the Hubble Space Telescope. The quality was IMAX standard and the 3D glasses were embarrasing as usual :)
I can remember that there weren't many people around and the speakers were quite loud, but the 3D effects and the voice of Leonardo DiCaprio just compensated for that small inconvenience.

I wouldn't say IMAX is a must do in Melbourne, but it was a good experience anyway.

This review is for Elizabeth Pharmacy, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 01 Jun 2012

The Pharmacy is located Corner Elizabeth and Little Collins Street in Melbourne CBD. It looks like a basic city chemist from the outside, but they offer a good range of general chemist products.
I didn't buy any prescription medication, so I can't say too much about the quality of the service staff, but also can't remember any inconveniences.
Location is a plus and I would go there again, the advertisement you can see from the outside of the store (different types of nail diseases) is just not very welcoming though.

This review is for The Point Restaurant, Albert Park VIC

verified email - 31 May 2012

Being around the Albert Lake a lot, I have never tried a steak at this awarded restaurant. But I once invited my parents to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere surrounding the outside area of the cafe (on the lake's edge). We just had some sandwiches, coffee and beer, so I can't say too much about beverages and food, but I loved what we had. Service staff was friendly and I would love to go there again.

This review is for Kings Canyon Resort, Alice Springs NT

verified email - 31 May 2012

PROS:
• Location: 7 km distance from Kings Canyon Rim Walk
(don't miss it!)
• Good and flexible service (we changed our plans and chose
a room upgrade)
• Bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable
• Quiet nights

CONS:
• The usual creepy-crawlies you have to struggle with out in
the middle of nowhere

Neither made use of the spa nor the restaurant, so I can't say anything about that. But all up, I would recommend it just because it is up to the standard and facilities I would expect for the price in such a remote location. We enjoyed our stay. Don't forget to bring plenty of water!

Approximate cost: $AUD 160 per night

This review is for Rottnest Express, Fremantle WA

verified email - 31 May 2012

Rottnest express is a cruise company which operates daily ferry services from Perth/Fremantle to Rottnest Island.
Rottnest ferry promotes ‘A leisurely 25 minute ferry ride from Fremantle' on their website. Although they were operating on time, it wasn't 'leisurely' at all. There was no possibility to sit outside on the deck, the view from the inside was short and the screen inside didn't work properly. That wouldn't have mattered to me, if it wasn't cold as hell (air condition) in the middle of summer.
But of course I have to give the company some credit: they are well organized and the booking service is great. When our travel plans had changed and we had to take another ferry back to Fremantle, it was no problem at all to change our existing booking. It was just one phone call for free at the local office at Rotto :)
So all up, you'll get great service and good value for your money there!

This review is for Luna Park Melbourne, St Kilda VIC

verified email - 31 May 2012

I have been to Luna Park several times and it truly is Melbourne's fun destination no. 1 for young and old. I also bring all my guests to this place, because it is a must do during a Melbourne stay.

I have to admit I haven't tried and probably will not try this 100 year old white roller coaster, but I would definitely recommend the Enterprise experience.

Entry to the park is free, so if you are not in the mood for a ride, just walk around and buy yourself some fairy floss!

This review is for Flybuys, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 31 May 2012

I joined flybuys two years ago and do all our shopping at Coles. But since we are just a two person household it turned out to be very hard to save up enough points in order to redeem anything at all. That didn't matter because we would have spent the same amount of money for groceries anyway.
As the new promotion looked very promising, at least more rewarding, we decided to switch and I have to admit, we are way better off with the new promotion.
Converting points in flybuys dollars has been working fine (just make an online request and enter a 4 digit access code later at the store checkout und you'll get the requested amount off your shopping), and so did the link to our AGL account. The my5 at Coles seem to have a minor impact though.
So, all up, I really can't say anything negative about this rewarding system.
