All that really needs to be said here in this review, and at Barney Allens itself is "the burger".
One of the most filling burgers you will ever eat, if you can finish it. A very thick, always well done (what some might consider overdone) patty, wonderful toppings such as beetroot and the infamous kick arse sauce, which is kind of a spicy chutney, all combines well with the shoe string chips.
Every other meal item Ive had here has been great too, and the service and staff are always very approachable and friendly. The cocktails are always great here too.
A great place that cant be beat.
One of the hidden gems of st kilda, if not Melbourne.
The food here is exceptional, very rich and tasty Japanese style food.
Portions are a little on the small side for the price, but having said that, the food can't be beat, or matched by oneone, except maybe their sister restaurant.
Staff are always friendly, and welcoming, and the place has a nice relaxed vibe, but with a good organic surrounding.
A must visit place.
This place is a st kilda institution, even my parents used to come here back in the day.
Last went here on a weekday afternoon, place was very quiet, and relaxing.
The burger was definitely old school style, no fancy bells or whistles, just reliable burger, kind of like a fish and chip shop burger, but a step up.
Nothing to write home about on the burger being anything ground breaking, but it is a good solid feed, and a nice bar to have a drink at, just off the busy st kilda shopping strip.
Worth a try, and one to tick off the list if you are a burger fiend.
This place is nice. A little st kilda sceney, but better than most around here. I'd rather it be regular locals than the dregs some places seem to attract else where around st kilda.
Great for a realiable cocktail, and some people watching, and just a few cheeky drinks up the top end of Fitzroy st, without all the noise and hustle and bustle of the other end near the beach.
Respect to any place that does live music, and for free or very cheap.
Crowd can be a little stiff, but overall its a no hassles kind of place.
Not a bad place to come for a dance, and a drink, I do recommend it
Good food, and cool place, that has been around as long as I can remember...which is back when roller blading was cool, and the crowd is usually older types when Ive been there.
Service needs some work, but a great place to visit and have a nice meal and a few wines
quality food, not just your run of the mill pizza and pasta.
definitely a step up, though not mind blowing.
but acoustics of the room are not crash hot. I like to hear people next to me talking.
I gave these guys a red hot go, but just found that nissans and 4 X 4s were not to my liking, but that's just my personal taste, or perhaps I just wasn't sold to well on the benefits.
I did get a suburu RX, they are great fun to drive, smooth mechanically and recommended. These guys at eastern will happily chat to you about all the features and be good salesmen
I keep trying these kinds of services, yet to find one that really blows me away, or has deals that I like, or that don't have got yas in the terms and conditions
