Popped in a little while ago, the coffee is pleasant and tastes great. The atmosphere is comfortable and warm and social. The food looks great, but did not try any, but will next time Im in there.
The food is generally ok, and the atmosphere is pretty good too, but the serving sizes seem quite small relative to the price, and relative to other cafes. There are a lot of seats in here, and it can get quite busy, which adds to the atmosphere, however occasionally service can suffer because of this.
Who could resist walking past this window and not sampling at least 1 of their cakes, if not many more. The old fashioned cakes are the kind using recipes hundreds of years old, and it is worth it. Price might scare off some people, but for a treat, it is definitely worth it.
A small yet vibrant bustling cafe with a high level of service, a passion for good food and ingredients, cooked to perfection, and an overall pleasant atmosphere for the grey street area, and definitely worth checking out when in st kilda.
This is a narrow but bright little space at the end of the st kilda strip. If you're lucky enough to get a seat outside and enjoy all the people passing by go for it, but the inside is just as appealing, with warm lighting and art work. Service with a smile, and decent coffee
A cosy interior, great on winter nights, or generous seating outside. The pizzas are affordable and delicious (try the calamari ring pizza), the drinks including coffee and wine list and more than satisfying and the service is quite pleasant
It has been a pleasant experience to visit here. There is nothing quite like a hot fresh donut covered in warm gooey chocolate. I have had better elsewhere, that seemed to be fresher/better ingredients, and a more authentic atmosphere, which is a bit lacking here compared to real cake shops next door.
There is something inviting about this place with it's open facade of people looking out from within. It's like a reverse fish bowl where you get to people watch chapel street and sip on a coffee and enjoy the food. Worth a visit.
This place has been here longer than I can remember. A good old fashioned bakery in the heart of the one of the most high turnover shopping districts in the world. Great shop for a good old dirty meat pie, cooked to perfection, and maybe a cake or two. Like a country bakery in the middle of Prahran.
Pretty decent quality food, but everything with the staff seems to be a hassle. If you don't want to apply a normal level standard of service don't work in a cafe, you bring a bad image to the rest of the staff and owners. Apart from that it's worth a look in.
