Portion sizes are pretty good although the overall experience isn't as good as it used to be many years ago. Maybe the price increases on the menu has deterred the once regulars?
As there are too many choices on the menu, I usually get my usual order which is noodles of some kind.
The waiters can be a bit slow to respond and service, maybe the way some of the seating is set up they can't see you in view?
Have been here a few times for special occasions. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Brisbane area. The set up is very homely and welcoming.
The food is always fresh and delicious and very consistent between visits. Hubby loves the carbonara! We always book incase they are busy on Saturday nights and there is plenty of parking on the side streets if you were to go during the night service.
Oyster kilpatricks are the best here and I have eaten plenty in restaurants that have it on the menu. The only downside of the last visit was the waiter wasn't as tententive as previous visits, all the other times it has been really great!
Would definitely go again.
Love the views of this restaurant. The food is always consistent as I always order the same dishes :) Although the prices reflect the fine dining experience. I come here every year for a treat!
You will see plenty of office workers come into here for the yummy food. Since I work in West End it's easy to come here and get some noodles which I often crave. Value for money if you want chinese food in this area.
You pay before you order and the picture menu is there when you walk in. The food service is pretty quick and steaming hot.
This is the one that we go to as it's the one closer to home. The food is always to be expected, plenty of salads and I love the potato skins and the spag bol!
I'm not sure when they will renovate like what they did at the Sizzlers Toowong as the place is starting to look a bit tired.
Hubby & I only go here for special occasions or when I am craving the potato skins.
If you are not really a fan of buffets, best to go when they first open for the lunch as the food comes out fresh and not sitting there.
Love the set up of the cafe. The desserts were very nice looking and very yummy, although I would only go here for special occasions as the prices are a bit high for what you get, but the experience overall was ok.
Went with 3 other people, luckily we didn't have to wait too long. Both the entrees and mains were all delicious and very fresh tasting... it was very Jamie Oliver type of cooking. The only downside was the air con was a bit too cold but overall would love to go there again for yummy Italian food!
Extensive seasonal menu, very rustic way of displaying the dishes.
One of the better tasting thai restaurants in Brisbane. Good value lunch specials and the food generally comes out pretty quick. You can order your meals over the phone if you are time poor.
There is now new management since the floods so I'm not sure how the food is now.
If you are a coffee snob, this is the place to go. They also make yummy food as well. I went during the summer months and it was a bit warm in there.
Sitar has been one of best curry restaurant that I have had in Brisbane. The lunch specials are the way to go if you want something affordable. You can book a table and order your meals over the phone as well. Sometimes you get more or less meat in your curry so most times it's a hit & miss with consistency.
Although I have noticed that over the 5 years that I have been going to this particular one, the portions for the lunch specials have gotten smaller, no more complimentary poppadoms and you get to share 1 nan bread between 2 people. If they keep this up, I will have to go else where for a curry hit!
