I wanted to have dinner with a few close friends, but wanted somewhere classy, so we decided to go to Fook Yuen, a restaurant that a friend had recommended to use. The experience was great at the start. As you walk in, the first thing that is noticeable is the beautiful presentation of the restaurant. Then, its the tanks of live seafood, if you can call it food when still alive, lined up on the wall. As we got seated a very friendly waitress did the procedure things, unfolding napkins etc. We got some complimentary Chinese soup at the beginning of our meal. The food delivered was excellent and the presentation of the food was probably thought down to the greatest detail, with plates of food still sizzling as the waiters served it. The biggest let down was definitely the second waitress we were passed onto by the fist waitress we had. She had no understanding whatsoever of the English language and after trying to explain to her we were not finished, we had to ask another waitress to help. At the end , we were served a complimentary dessert soup and fresh fruit and biscuits.

Approximate cost: $25

The reason I went to LUSH was because I pass it everyday to go to work, and wanted to get a special present for a friend.Even outside the LUSH store, you can smell a pleasant mixture of aromas wafting over to you. However, the smell, when inside the store, was quite overpowering. When getting out of the shop, I felt a bit faint after-wards. However, the products, mainly soaps and fragrances were of, on appearance, of great quality, but they were very expensive. The shop was also in a odd location and the shop space was too small to fit more than 5 people. Overall, it was a good experience going, but not worth the money spent. But, it is a great shop in a niche market.
