We visited the Corner for dinner and I was really happy with the meals and wine. A good selection of mains on the menu and the specials made it hard to choose so my wife and I happily shared.

The Lappo has undergone some major renovations to it's credit. However lately when I've been there for a meal the food has taken forever to come out and it was very disappointing.When we mentioned this to the staff they didn't seem like they really cared. It's hard to give this pub a bad rating because it is the best pub in the mountains and it serves Kilkenny on tap, but the restaurant lets it down.

Dealing with Oxley Travel to book our honeymoon staying at Lord Howe Island was very easy. Having never been there before they were able to give us information and offer accommodation for a range of budgets.

We found everything we needed to rent from Wilson's. We hired a bike which is a fantastic way to get around Lord Howe Island but they also hire cars, snorkeling equipment and kayaks at the islands best prices.

We recently attended a Dinner Ball here in the Grand Ball Room. The silver service was great although there were a couple of times when it was hard to find a waiter to ask for a drink, possibly understaffed for the occasion. The hotel is immaculate and the jazz band was great in the bar area, also had a very attentive waiter at that bar.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here as it was one of the lower priced accommodation options and we wanted to spend our money on activities and eating out. The welcome food pack was a nice gesture and got us through the first couple of days for breakfasts.

My wife chose Orlene from a wedding guide because she looked nice in the photo. But when she came to our place for our first meeting there was something that made us feel like she wasn't the right celebrant for us. It's hard for me to put my finger on it. Then she pressured us into giving her an on the spot deposit of $150 and when we called her to say we weren't going to require her services she kept $50 of our deposit which I thought was rude.

The whole experience with John was fantastic. He is such a friendly and jovial man. He listens to what you want and gives you a little booklet so you can customise your ceremony to your tastes.

Open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays this is the best place on the island for a cheap meal and a beverage while watching the sunset over the ocean. The steak was as big as my plate and it was open buffet for sides.

We were so impressed with the seafood platter and fish and chips from the bowling club. It is an old building but the food was superb. The prawns were huge. Definitely the place to go for a cheap and delicious feed on the Island
