This review is for Cold Rock Ice Creamery, Hamilton NSW

Cold Rock is absolute genius. Your choice of flavours, toppings, lollies all mixed in together. The line-up can be horrendous but at least that gives you a chance to decide what you're having as there is a lot of choice. It's really fun just to make up your own desert and the staff usually mis it up well but it can get pricey.

This review is for Scratchleys on the Wharf, Newcastle NSW

Scratchleys has a pretty big reputation in Newcastle and it is very nice. The service is great but the food is on the expensive side as is the wine. It's the views that you're paying for so it's a once in a while treat.

The bogey hole Cafe is actually no where near the bogey hole. It has a great menu and offers pretty good value for money. The deserts are beautiful and the waitresses are friendly.

This place is perfect for a romantic meal. It's quiet and has a lovely ambiance. It doesn't attract huge rowdy crowds which is a blessing and the food must be tasted. They also have a great tasting plate which is perfect for first-time diners.

This place has the best coffee. It's that good. it also offers a big range on the lunch and breakfast menu. No dinner menu as yet. The staff are really lovely and helpful. the decor is endearing and the balcony is gggrrrreat for people watching.

They cook great steaks. They melt in your mouth. But it is a chain restaurant and kinda cheesy. This place gets super busy. Never go on a Saturday night - you wait forever and the order can get messed up. it happens in all restaurants to a certain extent but on a week night this place is great and it's right on the water. Beautiful.

This place isn't great v for m or anything but it is the best spot to sit by the water and watch the ships, boats and seaplanes go past. There is plenty of space. The queue for the bar never gets that big because there are plenty of staff. The drinks are always cold and there is a TAB spot. However, remember your ID. Even if you're blatantly over - they always ask.

This is a great pit stop for a quick bite to eat. Make sure you're hungry and then get a delicious pie with mash and peas on top! Fantastic. Also open late for drunken hungry fools. Brilliant.

This a beautiful cafe situated right on the water. It has a limited dinner menu but an excellent breakfast menu. It isn't a greasy spoon and as far as breakfasts go it's not that cheap but it is really tasty. The staff are great and the coffee is delicious. A great spot and you can take a stroll by the water afterwards.

This is a bit of a local's pub but it's great. Enjoy a table outside or stay inside to watch the sports, play pool or listen to the occasional band. There is a great Thai Restaurant out the back. It also runs a bus into local night spots at closing time. Bargain.
