I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. An unusal location away from other top restaurants. Pretty easy to park & locate though.
We went on a Saturday night so had to have the 8 course degustation (which is what I wanted)
The service is very professional & the food is spectacular sarting off with 2 types of freshly made bread & 2 types of home made butter delish.
All of the 8 courses were outstanding & the techniques used were outstanding. My favourite courses were the snow crab, the terrior, the violet crumble. Just thinking about these dishes makes my mouth water.
Highly recommend his restaurant if you want a top dining experience

I went here to celebrate my brother's birthday (his choice). Everything we ordered from the wine, the sashimi, prawn tortellini, the steak, the mac n cheese, onion rings, choc orange mousse cake (which was pre ordered) was incredible. The taste & quality of the food was just beautiful, the service very professional, the decor, atmosphere, wine which they recommended all was just dvine.
I would highly recommend anyone to dine at rockpool if you want a very good, memorable, high quality dining experience.

Have been wanting to come here for a while but as i have a very long wishlist i knew it was going to take a while.

They have recieved 1 hat from the Age good food guide for the last several or more years this year being the exception.

I had my chance when i saw there was a voucher off one of those sites i receive regularly in my email So i bought it and booked straight away.

Well located in Fitzroy St it was very easy to locate.

The service & the food are both of very good quality, professional.
I would highly recommend Sapore to anyone who likes Italian food (who doesn't)
The gnocchi with rabbit is spectacular. I was a bit skeptical of ordering rabbit. But i definately don't regret it. I'd suggest anyone to go to Sapore NOW

I think there were some hits & misses to what I ordered I did'nt really enjoy the sashimi the quality wasn't there. The fried items i ordered the crab croquettes were really yummy, the tsukune was very tasty & some of the other grilled meats on skewers are worth ordering. The cocktails were enjoyable but i would probably skip the dessert.
Overall I enjoyed most of the food & drinks here & would come again & recommend it to people.

I went here with a friend & it was very hard to find we almost gave up but eventually found it. I ordered several small dishes for myself and my friend just ordered one (I don't think he got the concept) I really enjoyed all my dishes & especially loved sitting at the bar watching the chefs preparing the food. We also had some drinks I ordered two types of sake, japanese cocktail all of which I enjoyed. I would recommend Izakaya Den to anyone who loves Japanese food & who likes to try a variety of dishes.

What a great little vegetarian restaurant.
You don't order from a menu it is a set banquet that is shared with the rest of your dining companions & everyone has the same. I was quite surprised and happy with what we got though & I am not vegetarian but still enjoyed it.
You cannot buy or bring in alcohol but there is plenty of bars in this area you can go to before or after your meal.
The price is unbeatable and inclusive of everything.

I recommend trying it at least once there is usually a wait but i think ti's worth it.

It was my first time ordering from here tonight & I was very satisfied with the outcome.

The fish was fresh, tasty, nicely battered. The chips were also very nice.

They also do burgers which are ok but I wouldn't go back for a burger again.

Fresh fish is also available,
Good portion size,value for money.
I will be back
I have been back since and have tried their grilled salmon it was nice but lacked in seasoning.
Salads are better else where though. Oysters were expensive and small probably not worth buying them from here.
I will come for the fish & chips though.

I saw this restaurant in one of those voucher sites that i receive in my email daily. I checked out their website & it seemed like a nice restaurant with good quality, homemade food so i bought the voucher and booked it.

Getting there was pretty easy it's off little Collins St in an Alley way next to a small hotel pretty good location if you ask me. Greeted when we arrived voucher exchanged & we were then shown to our table a cosy little restaurant that wouldn't look out of place somewhere in Italy.

chairs weren't exactly comfortable (a slight let down if it's somewhere i could see myself frequenting) my dining companion took the couch.
It is quite an intimate restaurant & you are dining quite closely with other patrons. My dining partner & I found we had struck up a conversation with the people on the right of us.
I really do enjoy intimate dining settings like this that gives you this kind of opportunity.
Tables were a little small. And water served to us was room temperature I like mine chilled.
They were happy to provide us with some ice when asked.
With our voucher a glass of red or white house wine was stated (usualy they are non flexible about changing this) but when the waiter was explaining the menu he said we could choose any drink or coffees so i chose the Monteiths cider I appreciated being offered another drink option as did my dining partner.

On to the food we were presented with a small tapas platter of olives, salami, grissini sticks, lamb meatballs, artichoke hearts filled with their own homemade cheese, mussels.
Not a bad anipasto platter but I felt it was missing something.
Onto the mains my dining partner ordered the gnocchi which she enjoyed and I had orichetti which was ok maybe a little bland. For dessert we had a choice of home made cakes or for an extra $4 we could have creme brulee, tiramisu, home made gelato.
After some speculation & asking the waiter for his recommendations I chose one of the home made cakes the the banana caramel pie then the waiter came back to tell me the pie had been given to someone else.
All good as i also had my eye on the chocolate, hazelnut torte which was nice.
My dining companion opted with the home made gelato/icecream/sorbet which she too enjoyed especially the coconut.
I would recommend this restaurant to someone who enjoys italian/sicilian food. Overall my dining companion & I enjoyed the experience.
I would avoid the bathrooms if you can.
