I am not even a big meat eater and I love going here. The menu here is so extensive there is sure to be something for everyones liking. I always have the burger with onion rings and it is delicious and full of quality ingredients. The best part of this restaurant is undoubtably the wine and drinks menu... it is huge although, I am a little disappointed that they only have one sweet wine on the menu. The dessert is a must have here as everything is delicious and of the highest quality.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has such a classy ambiance with the beautiful curtains and hanging beads.

On Friday and Saturday nights this place is packed so be sure to make reservations a week or so in advance for these nights.

Price wise it is on the expensive side but you are not only paying for the food but the wonderful atmosphere.

The staff here are always courteous and listen to requests and are able to help with the food and drink selection if need be.

I have been going to this hairdressers for many years and continue to do so even though I have moved from the area. All staff here are lovely, very talkative and are great at remembering everything about you.

The ladies here are excellent at cutting and colouring your hair exactly the way you ask them to and have transformed my hair into many different styles over the years.

Price wise they are on par with most other salons with a cut costing just under $35 for a woman and colouring cost depends on length of hair and style.

The salon also offers a nail service at competitive prices and the same friendly attitude.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Lorne. There are only 4 apartments and they each have great views of the ocean and the Lorne pier. They are situated right across the road from the beach which you can walk along for about 800m to get to the main part of the town. The apartments are also very close to Shelly beach and a few good restaurants.

The owner was very friendly and came to introduce himself to make sure there was nothing more we needed from him and said if there were any problems to call his mobile anytime.

Although not super modern the apartments were very clean and had everything you could need to comfortably stay here a week or so including stove, oven, new tv, play station, bbq, washing machine and large bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas. 3 of the apartments have 3 bedrooms and one has two bedrooms so there really is plenty of room for large families. All except one apartment has off street parking for two cars (the other has just one) so there was never the worry of something happening to the car.

The apartments are fantastic value for money. We paid less than $1000 for 7 nights in the off season which is very cheap for the location. However, prices get more expensive the longer you leave it to book so getting in early is advised.

This is a great little takeaway shop. The food is amazing. The bread is the best Turkish bread I have ever tasted and is great to dip in the carrot dip which is equally as delicious. The chicken kebab is also really good. The service is ok but they are usually busy so there can be quite a wait to be served sometimes. They are a little bit more expensive than most kebab shops but definitely worth a try.

A great fish and chip shop in a convenient location. Their food tastes delicious and their menu is extensive. Staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable. This is the local fish and chip shop that I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

The only negative about this shop is that there is only a small number of parking spaces in the area so you need to be patient with that.

This review is for Cumberland Lorne Resort, Lorne VIC

This is a beautiful resort with luxury apartments. They have everything you could need plus more. Each apartment has a spa, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer etc. and is ultra modern. Apartments are cleaned daily so they are always in perfect condition. The resort itself has a great range of amenities including indoor pool, games room, barbecues and a secure underground car park. The resort is located in the middle of the main street and directly across from the beach so everything is in a very short walking distance.

The apartments are quite expensive compared to some of the other accommodation options in the town but it is to be expected for a resort like this.

The resort staff and cleaners are all very friendly and try to accommodate all requests.

Overall, this is a great place for family getaways, romantic weekends and everything in between. Just be sure to book well in advance as the resort can fill up quite quickly, especially during school holidays.

This is where I bought my second lot of goldfish after some disastrous advice with the first few. The advice the staff here gave me helped me to set up my tank properly. Supplies here are a little pricey but I don't mind paying a bit extra for the service and advice that I receive. They have a huge range of pets and products and best of all the staff really appear to love and care for the animals in the store and are knowledgeable about all of them.

This review is for Coles, Brunswick West VIC

verified email - 12 Aug 2013

In terms of supermarkets this is a small, clean, convenient and one with fast service. The range is quite small for Coles but it has all the essentials. Getting through the checkout is always quick whether you use self serve or regular. Staff are friendly. The only down side is the carpark out the front as there is often a wait for spaces but there is a huge one hidden around the side with adequate room.

This is my favourite restaurant on Lygon St. The pizza and pasta is incredibly authentic and made from the finest ingredients. The mixed bread for entrée is so flavorsome and the perfect way to start the meal. The staff are always friendly and do their very best to be prompt and helpful. The price is exceptional, around $40 for two people including entrée, main and drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant.
