We have stayed here each year for more than 9 years, using it as our base with friends, with our kids, or just a couples retreat. From the fireplace, to the spa bath, and the dozens of kangaroos about in the front and back yard, we love this place !! I cannot recommend it enough. If you're staying at Halls Gap, look this cottage up.

Great little cafe, service cannot be faulted, over 20 visits and always greeted with a smile. Coffee is the best, as is breakfast which will be cooked the way you request every time. Homely atmosphere provided, cool in summer, warm in winter. Highyl recommended.

Went over a year ago, but...Excellent service all round. Collected from our home and travelled to wineries, cheese factory, distillery, shops and lunch at restaurant. Cannot fault the choice of locations, and we were given ample time to see each one. Already organizing another group to go again.

We took the kids from Airlie out to Reefworld. The staff can't do enough for you, and seem to have a ball doing their jobs. The food was excellent, and the facilities great fun. The whole family had 2 snorkelling session. Advice - take something for the kids to do on the trip, it takes longer than you'd think! Very comfortable and plenty of places to sit. The captain took us and the kids up to his control area and let the kids sit in the seat. Service over and above expectations. Thankyou highly recommended.

This is the restaurant I have eaten at the most in the past 12 years on the Coast. Delivers every time. Consistent after approx 30 visits. Usually order chicken bugzies, although we have had the seafood platters a few times. I cannot recall a single mistake of food or drink orders sofar. Thanks guys and keep it up. See you soon.

Outstanding. Very busy Saturday night but food served quickly and without fuss. No mistakes from polite efficient staff. Had BBQ prawns. The best I've had. My wife equally impressed with snapper dish. Anniversary dinner, not disappointed. Thankyou and will see you again soon.

Yum. Had take away on our last night of holidays. Real potato scallops, fresh fish, prawns and calamari in a nicely done crumb. Many thanks guys! Ate too much though!!

45 minute wait for bacon and eggs (which were poached hard). 6 other tables in the whole room. During the wait a male staff member asked (gruffly) if he could help us !! I think he thought we were squatting at one of his tables. Unimpressed, we showed him our order 'flag' and he left us in silence. Shortly afterwards the food arrived. Real shame, as this is a very nice looking establishment. Will give it a miss in the future.

I read a review where the staff member had stated "you've missed lunch!" to another customer..and just had to respond. My experience is from a year ago over New Years period - We arrived as the breakfast menu was about 10 minutes from ending also. When greeted at the service counter I began to order bacon and eggs and was stopped mid-conversation with "Breakfast is finished". I looked over her shoulder and the chef was busy cooking eggs, he looked up and smiled, then said "it's ok" to the server - to which she replied "No, it's finished." I ordered for my wife and kids (pancakes), and stated and "nothing for myself" to which the reply was "Whatever!!". True story. Never again.
