We were completely happy with the service for Mum. Jacqui was very flexible and allowed us to craft the service in a way that suited us. As she said, she was not precious about her own words, and wanted to make it all about how we wanted it. Her delivery was natural and relaxed, with moments of humour where appropriate. We would thoroughly recommend.

We could not have asked for a better service made possible with the assistance of Jacqui Chaplin. Jacqui was so empathetic and immersed herself into mums life story so that we could all feel comfortable knowing she would bring the right ‘vibe’ to the service. Jacqui is an approachable, empathetic celebrant who has the capacity to truly engage with and understand the needs of her clients. From our first meeting via Zoom (covid lockdown necessity) to her input and guidance in the planning process and then her celebrant services on the day, we were impressed with Jacqui's professionalism, warmth and sensitivity. She has a genuine empathic interest in the person who has passed and her service then seeks to honour that person's individuality and life. Our Mum’s memorial service was personal and inclusive. In an obviously difficult time, Jacqui was a wonderful support and advisor. Her experience, knowledge, organisation, suggestions and attention to detail were all much appreciated. She was also very willing to patiently accommodate our family’s needs, conveying a sense of reliability and empathy throughout. The service itself was marked by her care, compassion and appropriately wise words. The simple booklet commemorating our Mum’s service was a final welcome touch. Hi Jacqui, I am sorry it has taken this long to get back to you, but the organising of Bryan's estate and clearing his rental property has been very time consuming. I just want to say thank you for the way you conducted Bryan's funeral service in March, especially your determination to get the Maori words right for my family in New zealand. The feedback we have received has been very positive about your contribution, the NZ family contribution and the lovely video tribute produced by our daughter-in-law, Anne. Everyone who watched, and there were a few, informed us it was so Bryan from the reflections we gave. I know, although Bryan was a "no-fuss" kind of person, he would have been pleased with what we organised, well except the photo of him in the bath as a child with his cousin, that is. I just wanted to write to thank you for the beautiful service that you led for mum last Monday. I thought you didn’t absolutely brilliant job and I can’t tell you how many people have since contacted me to say how wonderful they thought it was and have mentioned how impressed they were with the celebrant. I had been a bit nervous about the fact that we chosen not to go with a religious ceremony because a lot of the people who were going to be there are staunch Catholics. Surprisingly it has been from these family members that I have received the most praise - which I think is due to the fact that you were able to imbue the service with a deeply spiritual undertone. I’d also like to thank you for helping my elderly father through the process. He cannot stop talking about how wonderful you were!

We, the children, were all delighted with the outcome and feel Dad would have been very happy also (not that he liked a fuss much). It was really a lovely day for us all, catching up with relatives we haven't seen for so long (the last funeral probably) and old friends of Mum & Dad's also. We had Jacqui conduct my mums funeral in Feb 2019 and then dads funeral in January 2020. Jacqui was a god send made the whole process before the funerals easier to deal with and the day of both funerals she was professional but also showed compassion towards our families. I really wanted to say a big thank you on behalf of all of us. Your warmth, experience, knowledge and compassion whilst being firm, direct and providing astute advise at a time we are at our worst was amazing. The commemoration and celebration of our dad's life was made as good as this part of life can be, was a direct result and entirely due to your wise counsel. Even people in attendance were amazed, being of Greek Heritage, the traditional morbid funerals most people experience was pleasantly transformed by the service you put together. Both family and friends commented on how much more comforting the experience was. Words cannot express our gratitude for the way in which you supported and guided us during the planning and conduct of our precious Dad's memorial service. Jacqui was a wonderful Celebrant and helped us all to give mum the send off she would have loved! Jacqui was very open to all our different points of view and very supportive too when we needed it. She had lots of time to talk to all of us and gave us all valuable tips on how to approach writing and giving a eulogy. Which all came in handy. We arrived home in QLD last night and this morning on reflecting on the last week I felt I must email to thank you once again for the lovely service you conducted last week. Both Di and I were just so appreciative of your manner and approach and the way you conducted the service. Mum would have been thrilled with it all. We felt it was simple but dignified and you made the path through this so much easier. We had the most wonderful get together afterwards and the whole day will be something we will never forget. We wish you well for the future Jacqui and while death is never an easy path to traverse it is dedication by people like yourself that guides people like us in a meaningful way. On behalf of the family and friends, please accept our sincere thanks for your part in Wendy's “send off” . I use the words send off as Wendy once said to me that, "when you send me off I hope its a happy one". And that it was. Every one contributed and may I say we all did very well considering the circumstances. We have had some contact with people who were at the funeral and all have said how nice it was and the venue was just perfect. Anne and I have read through the attachment and we both thinks it's wonderful. The pictures are terrific and certainly express the day well. I will pass it on to the family and those that I think would like to see it. Again many, many thanks and hope our paths may cross again but in better circumstances.

We knew how we wanted mum’s funeral to feel – loving, quiet, elegant and no drama. Jacqui spent the time with us to learn about mum and our family and guided us through ensuring the service was exactly as we hoped. Many people at the funeral commented on Jacqui and her warmth. I attended a recent family funeral service and Jacqui was the celebrant. As someone who is involved in a similar industry, I was so impressed at the way Jacqui conducted the service. It was her personal warmth and genuine concern for everyone at the service that was so remarkable. In her own unique way, she not only gave a lovely tribute to the person who had passed, but also addressed the grieving and loss that everyone in the chapel was feeling. She tried to give some clarity and understanding to a very difficult and emotional situation. But above all, she reinforced the eternal love of the person who had passed and gave hope and inspiration to those left behind. Unfortunately, I have been to many funerals over the years, but Jacqui's approach and honest commitment to her work made her stand out from all the others. I would highly recommend Jacqui to anyone who is in need of her services.

The world stopped for me and my family when my son Marcus died. Even breathing was hard to take. Let alone arrange his farewell. Luckily, a special person came into our lives, Jacqui Chaplin, and she helped us give Marcus the send off he deserved. My husband was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly. One of the most difficult things I've ever had to do emotionally was to organise his funeral. It was extremely important to my sons and I that that we respected what he would have wanted but also balanced that with a fitting tribute to the man we knew and loved. Jacqui was wonderful. She guided us with empathy and understanding and was able to help us work out what we wanted and needed from the day. The service was beautiful and just right for my husband, family and friends. Thanks for helping and supporting us through this very difficult time Jacqui.

Jacqui was simply wonderful. We had no idea what a funeral for a baby should be like. Jacqui talked us through the process. She took what we wanted to include, made suggestions and ended up writing a beautiful service tailored to us. It was great to have a celebrant as competent and organized as Jacqui, because having such confidence in her, meant that we could just focus on the most important thing on the day; saying goodbye to our son. When the funeral director at Selwyn Allan asked us who we wanted as a celebrant, we just said ‘give us whoever is the best’, and we think that is what we got in Jacqui, the best.

We used Tobin Brothers for our mothers funeral and we asked for a celebrant that had the ability to make our mothers send off perfect, so they recommended Jacqui. At our first meeting with Jacqui it was like she was part of the family and knew what we wanted without us saying much at all. She didn't pretend to know our mother but was able to put together a beautifully worded and thought out service that we were all so proud of. We had so many positive comments from those attending that we wouldn't hesitate in highly recommending Jacqui Chaplin for any funeral. She went above and beyond the call of duty and made this very difficult time so much easier to manage. After the funeral Jacqui emailed a commemorative book for us to print that she had put together. What more can I say.... thank you just isn't enough but all we have! Thank you so much Jacqui.

And people who did not know Sophie personally came away saying that they felt like they now did. What could be better than that? The worst day of my life was the day we lost our daughter. Jacqui was suggested to me by our appointed funeral director, Geoff. From the moment I spoke to Jacqui, I felt I had the right person to carry out my Mothers celebration of life as Jacqui asked detailed questions and geniuely wanted to know about my Mum as a person and the people that played a part in her life. We spoke over the phone initially and then again in person. Jacqui then emailed through the order of service to ensure all details were correct and we were happy with what was written and would be said. On the day, Jacqui arrived before we did and was organised and ready to go. She spoke clearly with a soft tone to suit the occasion of a funeral. Everything went according to plan and my Mum's celebration of life, was just that in which I give a lot of the credit to Jacqui and Geoff. I had quite a few people at the end ask me for Jacqui's details so I believe that in itself is a testiment to the excellent job she did. On behalf of myself, I would like to say thank you for helping give my Mum, Judy the most beautiful send off and I hope I don't have to go through another death in the family anytime soon but if I did, I would definitely appoint Jacqui Chaplin again.

A true professional- exceptional service: Jacqui was exceptional in helping us prepare a wonderful celebration for the life of a loved one. Nothing was too much trouble, and was contactable at all times. She took such care in getting to know us as a family, as well as our passed loved one, and helped us with planning the perfect service. On the day of her service, Jacqui was amazing. She paid tribute such a beautiful way, and supported us all in being a part of it. You made the day perfect. Jacqui- I hope we don't need your services for a long time (as we never want to say goodbye to loved ones), but you will be the person we call when the time arises. Just wanted to say thankyou so much to Jacqui for her wonderful work. Myself and my family had the pleasure of meeting Jacqui last Wednesday who came to visit us at a moments notice. We were completely lost and had no idea where to start to arrange my aunty's funeral. Jacqui is very professional, compassionate and caring and took control of the situation. Her work is extremely admirable and we all felt a huge weight lifted off our shoulders within minutes of her arrival. We cannot recommend Jacqui highly enough, such a lovely lady with a great sense of humour, I wish my aunty could have met her too. Please do not hesitate to contact Jacqui if and when you need an awesome celebrant. Once again Jacqui thankyou so much from the whole family So six weeks after I wrote the above review I found myself calling Jacqui again for her services. Unfortunately this time my husband had passed away very suddenly. Thankfully we weren't as confused this time where to start. One phone call to Jacqui and she was on her way to our place to meet with the family again. Jacqui got the ball rolling and helped us sort out all the arrangements to make the celebration of my husband's life as easy as possible. Once again her expertise shone through. Jacqui doesn't miss a beat, she thinks of everything and is extremely compassionate and caring. Just like our previous visit from her there was much laughter and tears as she puts everyone at ease during such a difficult time. This lady definitely knows her craft and again my family and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thanks Jacqui. Jacqui did an amazing job for us in celebrating our fathers life last week. She spent and extraordinary amount of time listening to our stories and looking through our photos. Jacqui then guided us in making sure we would be ready on the day to deliver our words and finally she delivered the service with compassion and a little humour when it was needed. Family and friends all commented that dad would have loved his send off. While I hope we won't need her services in a long, long time I can't recommend Jacqui's services enough.

Everyone has said how fantastic it was and my Mum would have overwhelmingly approved. The CD with photos is much appreciated. We scattered her ashes yesterday at Blackburn Lake so we now have some closure. Regards Bob

Jacqui was wonderful! She worked extremely well to bring together everything needed for a fast turn around funeral (48 hours). She collaborated with various personalities making each one feel listened to and valued. I mainly worked with her via SMS and Email to bring together my tribute and the eulogy which Jacqui wrote and I read in my own words I feel she captured my Grandfathers life beautifully. Jacqui was easy to relate to and understanding. She offered lots of encouragement and praise before during and after the service. Jacqui's approach was no fuss and task orientated yet she gave the task the dignity needed. I would certainly recommend her service again.

Thankyou Jacqui. Our father's funeral was such a wonderful tribute to his life. You have a rare gift to really get to the heart of knowing the person through involving every family member in contributing their memories and feelings in such a comfortable manner. You made the preparations seem so problem-free and helped to create a ceremony which we all felt reflected the things that were important in our dad's life. Your attention to even the smallest detail was so much appreciated. We will be left with memories of a warm and dignified farewell to our dad.

The memorial service for my father was conducted with dignity and simplicity, thanks to the care and attention of Jacqui. Jacqui has a gift that just comes naturally to her. Jacqui's ability to relate, guide and understand the needs/requirements of a grieving family is nothing less than impeccable. One of Jacqui's skills that sticks out is her ability to keep a sometimes tense situation calm, as we all know families have different dynamics and Jacqui has a way about her that she can bring a sense of "calm" back to the whatever situation.

She visited the family and was insightful to their needs in a very difficult situation. Dear Jacqui, My family and I would like to sincerely thank you for the all of the support you gave us during our mother/gran's funeral process. We cannot thank you enough for making extra time to meet all family members and you truly made our life much easier. You gave my mother courage and support to read the eulogy that we wrote together as a family. She really didn't think she could do it but knew that she wanted to for her mother. You gave her that confidence and we thank you!You read people very well and you know when patience vs push are needed most ;) This is an amazing skill you have as from my experience people respond in different ways to certain approaches and it is a huge strength that you understand how personalities work. We were particularly impressed that you remembered so many names and in order! We would highly recommend your services to friends and family and we wish you all the best in your future services and projects.
