Having no experience organizing a memorial service, I first canvassed what the established companies has to offer, but was dismayed to find their exorbitant prices. I found Templeton Family Funerals affordable compared to them, and immediately made contact with Elizabeth. She is a lovely lady who explained the process to me over the phone and from then on we worked together. The service was beautiful and Elizabeth made all efforts to make it just as we wanted. Thank you so much Elizabeth and Sheree for the wonderful service you've provided to lay to rest our dearly beloved. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs the service of a funeral parlor.

Ellese at Templeton was so helpful and accommodating. Our family wanted to organise most aspects of the funeral service ourselves and Ellese helped us to do this with no pressure at all to purchase additional items. Templeton Family Funerals was the only funeral service that answered my telephone calls promptly (i left messages & emails with 3 other funeral services that were never answered for a few days - then I found Templeton's details online). Hayley, initially in handling my enquiries, then Elizabeth, in handling all funeral details, showed patience, compassion and understanding in all our dealings. They made us felt at ease during our time of sorrow with dad's passing, and kept us in the loop at all times. I was very pleased with the guidance received from Templeton Family Funerals after the deaths of my parents this year. They both requested direct cremation, and although I hadn't actually realised that would mean there was not going to be a funeral, in the end I feel it was a good choice for my 90 year old parents, as I have been able to meet people and commemorate Mum and Dad in different ways.

Our 93 years old dear mother passed away in November (fortunately having not had a death in the close family during my life time) I had no idea as to what we needed to do and what steps to take! So per usual I searched the internet and spoke to 5 different Funeral Directories and right from the start Hayley came across as open, honest and upfront with all issues and questions including the costs involved. With her "Nothing is too hard" attitude she made the whole process so very smooth and easy for a novice like me! I highly recommend this organization as service like that is hard to find.

It is both fortunate and unfortunate that I have had to engage Templeton Family Funerals twice: Unfortunate because I obviously lost loved ones… but fortunate because I had engaged the most caring, wonderful people by doing so, I first met Ellese Templeton and her beautiful mother Yolanda in 2011 when my dad had passed. Both my mother and I were like deer in the headlights, completely overwhelmed by what lay ahead. Templeton had been highly recommended to us by a few people. I was surprised and relieved that they came home, rather than the horrendous thought of having to take my mother to a funeral parlour. The moment they walked in, we could feel their warmth and genuine compassion. They had also experienced painful loss and knew exactly what we were going through. We left everything in their hands and were so glad we did. I was extremely grateful and sang their praises to everyone. I did not expect to have to contact them again. But when my mother became terminally ill, I contacted Ellese. When I called her a week later, she realised that my mother had passed. She again came home the next day, and had all the records of my father’s funeral, as I had expressed my desire to replicate what we had done then. This time, I was completely overwhelmed on my own. Templeton Family Funerals handled everything. Everyone who attended said they had never seen staff from a funeral home so compassionate and so amazing in the way the carried everything out. In fact, both of my parents, Ellese herself drove the hearse to the crematorium so I could accompany them. As a Hindu, there are certain rituals and rites that must be performed. Templeton were so wonderful at making sure everything was exactly as it should. They were respectful of all customs, and indeed sought out more information when we were unsure what else needed to be done. I cannot recommend Templeton enough. My family recently lost our mother after suffering Dementia at 89. Our father 92, cared for her through the difficult time and now their 63 year marriage has come to an end. We can't thank the team at Templeton Family Funerals enough. They were so caring, professional and very well organised. They went over and above providing all the support and care we needed during such an emotional time. Elizabeth did a great job helping us to plan our mothers final fair well. She was very caring and supportive and spent a lot time with dad, helping him through a very distressing time. From the moment l contacted Templeton, to after my partners service, everyone at Templeton were great to deal with. They were very good at walking me through everything l needed to do from organising what we would like to happen during the service, after the service, and to organising and getting the death certificate processed. We had an Elvis painted casket which everyone said looked really good, and was very significant to my partner who was a huge Elvis fan. Dealing with an untimely death of a loved one is difficult to start with but then there's the funeral planning: what options to select, multiple decisions of cremation/burial, the broader wishes of the family, etc. Upon recommendation, I called Templeton and from the first time I spoke with Ellese, I knew I was in good hands. The professionalism and respect shown while walking through the process is balanced with ensuring individual wishes are taken into account; never a "sales tactic" at play. Simply, just what is the most loving, holistic way to honour the memory of the deceased and support those grieving. Ellese, Sheree and team are truly perfect for this role. Their communication is clear and they will get back you very quickly with any queries, the attention to detail is superb and their compassion knows no bounds. I could not have asked for a better experience in an otherwise, very dreadful and sorrowful time. Mum died unexpectedly and we had three hours to find a funeral director to move her from the aged care facility. I'd found Templeton's online and had appreciated their online quoting system. From the moment we contacted them about moving Mum's body to after the funeral service, their level of care and attention to details was exceptional. They handled our situation (Covid outbreaks causing funeral delays) with patience, kindness and discretion. Their suggestions were really good. I would highly recommend them!

From the first phone call I made to Templeton Family Funeral I felt comfortable in letting them take care of my beautiful Mum. All ladies showed compassion and understanding of the grief and loss we were feeling, connected us to a wonderful celebrant, organised the live stream due to covid restrictions and ensured our wishes were carried out. We were treated with the utmost respect. i could not fault the service they provided and highly recommend these dedicated ladies. it was a beautiful tribute to our dear mum and a celebration of her 93 year life.

Templeton Family Funerals we’re excellent. We appreciated their expert knowledge of Ward of State Funerals and we had a funeral where our brother did not have a will. They can accommodate the cheapest ‘No attendance’ cremations to really up-market Funerals. They are based in the South East but covered the whole of Melbourne for us. We appreciated dealing with three women for the whole situation.

There wasn't much time, but Hayley worked with me to give Mum the send off she wanted. Hayley's detailed support, professional yet friendly manner and can-do attitude were exemplary. It was important to me that I could develop a sense of trust in a very short time. I have pretty high standards, and Hayley was able to meet them all at a time that really counted in my life. No need to look any further than Templeton Funerals when you require this type of service. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They took care of everything allowing us to grieve for our loved one. All our questions were answered in a respectful manner and we were dealt with compassionately. Their pricing is so much more competitive than others allowing you to spend the money you save for the same service elsewhere, on things that matter. In our case, the $3000.00 we saved we put towards the memorial service and buying a beautiful urn. Sheree and her team have surpassed all my expectations for delivering the best service imaginable. The more well known funeral directors fade into insignificance when compared to Templeton Funerals. Absolutely faultless in all our dealings.

Ellese and her family at Templeton funerals were extremely understanding, flexible and caring. We really appreciated this as we were mourning the loss of our mother/grandmother. They were very adaptable and responsive when we requested some traditional Buddhist mourning elements. They were also very efficient at organising the print materials, the screens at the funeral service, the online tribute page, and the livestream service – which we really needed, as we had many family members overseas. From the initial call late on a Friday night, to the final follow up call to ask if there was anything else they could help with, Templeton’s provided excellent service. Rachel was wonderful in stepping me through all that was needed to result in a lovely church service, and an interment at considerable distance. She made suggestions along the way, all thoughtful and considered. On the day, Rachel and her assistants were also excellent, accompanying us throughout the day, stepping in when needed, while maintaining a discreet presence. I highly recommend their team. We had to find a funeral home after the sudden and unexpected death of our sister. Templeton Family Funerals were the first I spoke to and totally understood why we were looking to firstly respect my sisters wishes but also understood this was the third death my family had while restrictions were in place and how after having to watch my father in law’s funeral online we didn’t want to do that again and just wanted the cremation now and to hold a service on what would have been her 60th birthday next year. I did ring a few other places but none had the compassion or understanding of our situation and circumstances and just tried to “ up sell” their services or gave the impression I rang at an inconvenient time . Whenever you need to arrange a funeral, it is always a very confusing and stressful time. When you have the sudden, traumatic death of your 29 year old son and have to organize a farewell, you need people around you that you can trust. Ellese was a professional from the very first contact. But she was more than that. She was compassionate, a shoulder to cry on, aNd she was only ever a phone call away when we had a question or needed to clarify anything. This family business is everything that the other funeral directors are not. Every team member we had contact with were wonderful. When someone dies suddenly the last thing you need is complications. When my mother died I had a short time to have her collected from the nursing home and didn't know what to do. I found Templeton Family online and called them. I spoke with Sheree who was so kind and so professional and took everything out of my hands straight away. I met Ellese the next day who comforted all the members of the family while organising the funeral. I really did not expect my mother's funeral to be such a pleasant experience. The ladies at Templeton treated us like their own family and Ellese and Sheree made sure the funeral was everything we wanted and the celebrant, Marg was a perfect fit for the celebration we requested. Everyone has to go through this at least once in their life and I would recommend the Templeton Family as the first people to call. They take care of the living as well as the departed. From there we had Rachel take care of us and the service we received was truly above and beyond. All the advice and understanding was amazing and we cannot begin to say how grateful we are to have had you. The experience of losing a loved one was definitely made so much easier from all the attention to detail and care shown by you ladies, particularly Rachel. After the funeral itself we have had so many of our family and friends ask us who we used for the funeral and we have been more than happy to share the name; "Templeton Family Funerals". The personalisation of each service, the attention to detail and the care/compassion shown and extended to us throughout the whole time of organizing a funeral (and even after), has been exceptional and we can see why you are so busy. At a difficult time of the death of my wife of 39.5 yrs I had planned to speak to several funeral service providers. Ellese of Templeton was the first and the last as it was clear she was compassionate, caring, sensitive and extremely professional. I came across Templeton Family Funerals by chance whilst looking for reviews on another Funeral Director. Once I found out that Templeton was a funeral service provider run by women it felt like they would be the right people to help farewell mum. Louise was my first point of contact. She was very helpful and understanding. That same day she came over to our house and professionally and compassionately help with mum's funeral arrangements. My whole family felt comfortable with Louise. We met Ellese at the viewing and rosary and again we received a caring and compassionate approach. The ladies undertook their roles delicately with the utmost care. We never felt rushed or being left out. These wonderful ladies accomodated everything we wish for and even made further recommendations to make our mother's farewell one to remember. I had 'interviewed' a number of funeral directors, thinking funeral services just came down to a matter of cost and convenience. Until I happened across Ellese, and her team. From the second I, my daughter and step-daughter walked through her door, I felt that this was the person to help me give my husband the farewell I felt he deserved. A dignified celebration of his life. Ellese was friendly, supportive, business like and so very knowledgeable on all aspects of funerals and associated matters. Templeton family funerals are absolutely amazing! The first time I spoke to Ellese before mum passed, she was just so understanding and put me at ease straight away; it was just like chatting to a really close friend. I rang my siblings and said that after a few hours on the phone researching I've found the right funeral directors to arrange mums celebration of life. It felt great and was such a relief to know that when the time came we were in the right hands. Mum actually passed away during that night. After a few hours on the phone to my family I rang Templeton to leave a message that mum had passed and that they could pick her up whenever suited them. Ellese answered the phone and although it was the middle of the night she still offered sympathy and support.... this totally exceeded my expectations. Over the next few days we met Ellese's auntie Louise who came to my house in Mount Martha for our family meeting. She was also so caring and empathetic... nothing was too much trouble. I asked her to apologise to Ellese for me for ringing in the middle of the night. I explained that I thought the call would just go to message bank till someone arrived at the office that morning. Louise said that they don't use messages they always answer the calls, No matter what time unless all 4 of them are on the phone at the same time. That was another indicator of their amazing personal service. We are so grateful to Templeton family funerals who made this tough time so special for us and our mum would've absolutely loved it all. Templeton funerals is run by a beautiful family who are passionate and caring. I feel so lucky to have found them and cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the first time I made contact prior to my mother's passing until the day she passed, Ellese and her team made a terribly difficult time one of " no problems ". Ellese handled all enquiries , questions and requests speedily and with urgency. Looked after those things that you don't think of in a time of bereavement. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day of the funeral, and as Ellese promised, my mother was sent off with great dignity of which we are very grateful for. You don't think of the importance of great customer service when organising a funeral. Ellese delivered in spades.

I have never had to arrange a funeral for anyone before, so i was a bit nervous, but Ellese put my mind at ease within the first few minutes of our conversation when I asked her about a pre-paid funeral. When it came to the day, I thought the team at Tempelton were just wonderful. So caring, anticipating each movement of the people gathered. it was a very small gathering, but Ellese and the team ensured everything went as planned. I left the whole arrangement in the ladies' most capable hands, and they did not let me down once. They also worked really well with the minister who conducted the service. I really cannot thank Templeton Funerals enough for the professional and genuine personal care with which the whole service both before and after the graveside service.

Our beautiful mum passed on the 29th of May and Templeton Family funerals came recommended. I had never heard of the business before and I'm glad we accepted the advise. Louise was lovely, caring and experienced. The service was the perfect sendoff for my mum. The slide show of photos of my mum was my favourite part as I could sit back and reflect on my mum through all stages of her life. Father Barry Fletcher was also amazing, extremely professional and very likeable. Mum would have been happy.

I can not recommend Templeton enough - Ellese was amazing - she is very genuine and was lovely to deal with regarding my dad's funeral service. Templeton did my uncle's funeral and that was fantastic so we chose them for my dad who died 9 weeks later. Price wise they were really good too. We would definitely use Templeton again (but hopefully not in the short term!).

Six weeks on and I am still elated, comforted and at peace by the experience of my late father's funeral. With the help of Ellese and her team, we were able to personalise this very special occasion for us all. Ellese guided us in planning the most wonderful and unique celebration of my dad's life. All our requests were taken care off efficiently and joyfully. We were given options and encouraged to ask for anything we wanted. The view from the Sanctuary at the Bunurong Memorial Park provided a wonderful backdrop to our celebratory theme. We were able to look out onto the lake, which we consider from now on as my dad's favourite fishing spot. Thank you Ellese for walking beside us every step of the way.

The women who run this business are so very real . They are warm and caring and can still make you smile during such a difficult time. A rare skill indeed ! Nothing is too difficult for them and their presence on the day of the funeral is genuinely warm, kind and very professional. Extremely easy to talk to, and equally good listeners too. I couldn't recommend Templeton Family Funerals more highly. And their price was the lowest of all the other companies we made enquiries with, but the actual day was not at all cheap in its running or appearance. As I said , they are so very real , in every respect. I'm glad we found them .

Templeton's provides a genuine caring experience. Unlike some of the big franchise type funeral homes, the Templeton family take a personal approach as its their business. They were very organised and helpful and took the time to make the whole experience ( which is such a sad time ) much more bearable. From the time I met you at the family home I was impressed by your professional, but warm and friendly manner. Followed by your patient and understanding responses when deadlines were being stretched. Ellese and her team of beautiful ladies took such great car of Mum, everything was perfect. So nice to deal with one person for absolutely every aspect of the funeral. Took the stress out of a very emotional time for us. Thanks you so much Ellese
