I was desperate for some sunscreen on my holiday, as my skin is quite fair. I found this lovely little store at Dolphin Quay, and to my delight they had a fantastic selection of 50+ that didn't sting or burn my skin, unlike other 50+ sunscreens I've tried.
The customer service was great, and I noticed some Ugg style boots were on sale - I totally would have bought some if I'd had the $$$!

A cutesy, kitschy cafe that does the best pancakes I've eaten this year!

We were staying near Mandurah on holidays, and we were so glad we found this place.

The big windows make it so airy and inviting, and the food is to die for!

This cafe is located at the waterfront, on a little corner, where you can sit outside and enjoy the perfect view. I ate the salt and pepper squid, which was delicious, and appreciated the impeccable service.
One of the staff mixed up my sister's partner's order, and rather than quibble, he simply apologised and brought the correct item out. I appreciated that, it shows good training and a good manager.

I was running out of time to get my best friend a gift, and being on holidays in Perth, didn't know where to shop. Luckily, I was directed towards Pigeonhole... the cutest store on earth!
I bought an adorable ice maker shaped like a polar bear and a little ceramic vase with amazing glaze on it. It came to around $65, but it was totally worth it - she loves her present!

This review is for The Classroom, North Perth WA

This place is superkawaii! The bar is decked out in a classroom theme... there are cutesy booths with old style school tables and bus seats, a huge mural with a cute student-girl trying to learn her maths, and gorgeous old bookshelves full of artfully placed books. The bar staff were attentive and lovely. The cocktails were expensive, but worth every penny, and I wish that Perth laws weren't so strict... the place shuts at 12 or 1, and we wanted to stay forever!

This review is for Hula Bula Bar, Perth WA

Oh my goodness, what a cute bar!! The Hula Bula was around the last time I was in perth, and I wasn't expecting it to still exist - but there it was, just in time for me and my partner to have some sneaky cocktails whilst we sat in the hilarious tiki-themed surrounds, listening to old school tiki music and lovely vintage records.
The cocktails ARE expensive, but they pack a punch, which adds to the authentic feel of the place. A wonderful end to our crazy evening!

This review is for Jaws Sushi, Hay Street Mall , Perth WA

The prices here are more expensive than the sushi trains in my hometown, adelaide, but the quality is fantastic! Me and my cousin had three plates each, and shared, so between us we sampled a variety of their lovely sushi, nori and other treats. We both had some california rolls, I had some teriyaki chicken, and we had a variety of tempura dishes. All were totally fantastic. I can heartily recommend!
Ps - the best place to sit is on the innermost wall, in front of the chefs. We were sitting far from the chefs, and kept being usurped by other customers, who grabbed the most popular dishes before we had a chance to, haha.

Adorable toasty bar in a little laneway not too far from the Perth train station. My cousin took me here, and although I was a little skeptical, my Notorious BAG was amazing - that's a toastie with bacon, apple and cheese with onions.
I was initially going to have a more sedate choice, and I am so glad I was talked into experimenting... what a fantastic toastie!

Worth the slightly steep prices - still cheaper than some other chain store toasties!

This review is for Sharky's Restaurant Mandurah, Mandurah WA

I came here with my father for lunch whilst we were on a family holiday. The food was fantastic. I ordered the steak sandwich and my dad had the fish and chips, and both meals were cooked to perfection.
My only criticism is that the aircon wasn't great for a restaurant near the beach. But the view of the water and the lovely customer service more than made up for that.

This review is for Mercury Cinema, Adelaide SA

The movies Mercury plays are fantastic and diverse. Unfortunately, you have to buy a 4-movie pass to go and see them. This would be ok if the 4-movie pass didn't expire within the year!
I think they should change it so that the pass is valid for 2 years. We found it hard to see 4 movies within the year, because we didn't like all of their offerings. If you do the maths, our movies ended up costing a fair bit each.
Otherwise, Mercury is an AMAZING establishment.
